Sarnath - After freshening up, you will proceed to Sarnath, located 20 km from Varanasi. This is where Buddha delivered his first sermon to his five disciples, marking the beginning of Buddhism. Emperor Ashoka later built several stupas and monuments here to promote Buddhism. Sarnath is also home to various animals and birds, with Deer Park being a notable attraction.
Sarnath Museum - The Sarnath Museum houses remnants of monasteries and the beautifully polished Lion Capital of Ashoka. After visiting the museum, return to the hotel to freshen up and prepare for more sightseeing.
Ganga Aarti - In the evening, you will experience the unforgettable Ganga Aarti at the River Ganges. This grand event starts at 5:00 pm and attracts people from around the world. The ceremony, held at Dashaswamedh Ghat, features young priests in saffron and white robes performing rituals with oil lamps and chanting mantras. Thousands of small oil lamps float on the river, resembling countless stars on the water. The well-choreographed ritual is a sight to behold. Spend the night in Varanasi.
