Our departure from the meeting point will be at 7 am, and we will arrive at the archaeological site just as it opens. Discover the history of Uxmal, the most significant Mayan city in the only hilly area of the Yucatan Peninsula, known in the Mayan language as the Puuc region, where the main deity was Chaac, the god of rain. The Puuc style is distinguished by its unique and intricate carvings found in the upper parts of Mayan buildings. Walk and explore the temples with a professional licensed tour guide who will reveal the secrets of their success. In the cenote, you will enjoy the crystal-clear freshwater located in the Mayan jungle, managed by a small Mayan community. Cenotes are unique ecosystems of the Yucatan Peninsula. Finally, we will savor the homemade flavors of a delicious meal prepared by a family with Mayan heritage. They will cook the meals upon our arrival at their home using fresh ingredients. We will return to Merida between 2 and 3 pm.
