It is very enjoyable to eat while watching Bangkok from the 72nd floor. - Even though we did not stay at the hotel, our tour took us to the open buffet on the upper floor of the hotel for dinner. First, we went up one floor and watched the delicious night view from there. After taking souvenir photos on various platforms they set up for photo shooting, we went to the restaurant. They make reservations for groups on time, check-in and check-out times are certain, It had a very diverse and rich buffet, the fish buffet was incredibly rich.

Late reply - They let us in a little bit late. They said that the viator Is not responding at the moment so we have to wait for 30 mins so the buffet is only for 2 hours and u have to eat and at the same time see the view

Ivanhoe hotel do not cater food for allergies they treat you appallingly - We were treated in an appalling manner in the restaurant. We emailed ahead explaining allergies. We explained allergies again on arrival. We were asked what we wanted to eat then the manager eventually went to the kitchen. He came back and said you can't have that. Then proceeded to review the menu ruling out everything else we could not have. He refused adaptions so there was no starter. The main offered was boiled potato and turkey but no sauce nor gravy. We almost begged for gravy. We were told they could not make it without milk (our allergy). Then the manager when pressed said the chef would use a stock cube. We were made feel demanding asking for anything. We should have left. A small meal arrived after waiting 35 mins...still nothing of the 'gravy stock cube' promised. Eventually a small amount of something arrived which was gritty horrible and seemed to be a stock cube in hot water. I felt so upset dismissed and unwelcome. I was asked at the end by the waiter if all was well. I said no and explained. He went to the manager who ignored us and left us feeling worse. No-one cares despite putting on their website that they cater for allergies...they don't absolutely do not. They don't care about customers per se. We had to ask twice to obtain even a drink. Sunday is busy but this was after we explained our allergies they ignored us. Horrible experience. We paid and left never to return. Do not trust them with any dietary requirements is my advise.

Dated, limited, no longer good value. - Used to be very good but now food was poor, decor old and generally well past it's use by date. It all needs an overhaul.
