Unique very funny show - Brilliant unique show. Dancers and young crew are very talented and male and lady singer had amazing voices! Food was good and welcome drink very nice too. The building which is made up of repurposed scrap is very impressive. Very funny too and in a different ball park to other shows like Simon show etc. LOVED IT!!!

Go!!!!!!! - All I can say is GO!!!! Absolutely loved this unique experience. The music, performances and choreography was incredible. The meal was top notch and delivered in unison with the performance. The attention to detail (recognition of my husband’s birthday as I mentioned just as we arrived). The audience was engaged and you could tell that they all really enjoyed it. Lots of laughs and clapping. Would definitely go again. Very unique dinner theatre.

Brilliant and highly recommended! - The show at Junkyard was the perfect end to our trip in Phuket. It was funny, clever, and creative. The performers were all really talented and the food was excellent. We had an awesome time in Phuket, and I genuinely think the show at Junkyard was my favourite part!

Wacky, offbeat, funny, clever and lively night out. Unforgettable. - Very imaginative production with talented singers and dancers. Clever set construction and changes. Lots of humour and visual gags. Lots of well known music to help it along. Very helpful hostess. Food was good and accommodated preferences. Surprisingly not a full house. Deserved more people there. Spread the word.

A Visit To The Junkyard Is An Absolute Must Do On Your Phuket Holiday. - Sometimes when you’re on a holiday you come across an attraction that nobody really told you about, but you go along out of curiosity more than anything,
Such was the case for me with my visit to The Junkyard Theatre. Having come across it on Trip Advisor while I am here in Phuket, the reviews were overwhelmingly positive so I knew I just had to go check this out. And let me tell you, I don’t have a single regret. This will probably shape up as a big highlight of my Phuket holiday, if not THE highlight, The theatre is run by a lovely Aussie ex-pat couple and they are assisted by a superb and very friendly team of front of house staff. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with warmth and a friendly smile from the team.
The Junkyard Theatre is as its name suggests, a cabaret style performance theatre adorned with junk. Sheet metal, timber, you name it, it is here. Virtually everything on stage including the props used in the show has been sourced from somebody else’s junk pile. The moment you walk in, you just know you are in for a fabulous night.
The Junkyard Theatre has a rotation of different shows that are performed here, however the one that I saw was “A Night At The Junkyard”. This show serves as a tribute and also a parody of the many facets that make Phuket and more broadly speaking, Thailand, such a dynamic and exciting place. The show lovingly shows of the best of Thai culture while also respectfully making fun of some of the more quirky and colourful aspects of life in Phuket.
Everything from martial arts, massage parlours, western men in Hawaiian shirts looking for their future wife, cheap plastic surgery, street food and of course the infamous ping pong ball get a reference in this show. And the show is delivered by a stunning and very talented crew of Thai performers who sing, dance and mesmerise the audience with their incredible talents. You’ll be loving every second of it from start to finish.
Performances can be viewed as a dinner and show package which includes a 3 course expertly curated menu featuring a modern twist on classic Thai flavours, or you can purchase tickets as a “Show only purchase”. There is an ample selection of hot snacks and beverages that can be purchased if you wish.
It probably does pay just to be mindful that some shows may not necessarily be suitable for little kids……nothing goes too far or is too risqué but there are little references to the seedier aspects of Phuket life. Some shows (e.g. The Christmas Show) may be a little more family friendly.
In finishing I can really only say one thing. Anybody visiting Phuket should make sure a visit to The Junkyard Theatre is absolutely on your list of things to do. You simply won’t be disappointed in the fabulous night of great food and entertainment you are going to witness,

amazing - This was one of the most entertaining shows I have ever been too, The food was divine. Laughed so much my sides hurt. And to think everything was made out of junk. Very impressive.

A great donner out, and also a great fun night's entertainment. - This should really be two reviews. A great donner out, and also a great fun night's entertainment. John Underwood's amazing staff make you feel immediately welcome and by the end of the night you fell part of their family.
The dinner itself is a treat with a well thought out Thai dinner which was delicious and generous. We also discovered the chef's you son makes a cameo appearance and was very cute.
The performers are skilled, funny, and vibrant. Knowing all the props and theatre decorations are all from recycled materials is impressive, and testimony to the creative genius of John and his son.
I won't spoil the experience by detailing the show itself, other than say this should be on your bucket list when visiting Phuket. Don't miss it.
