Amazing experience in Tunisian Antiquity - this private tour is totally with it. - This was well worth the time. Dougga was just amazing and Bulla Regia was just as impressive especially the underground housing just wish it was more visible. Dougga jaw dropping views of the Bally from the Capital and Forum was breathtaking and to be walking in the footsteps of ancient Romans that set foot in those same streets 2000 years ago was a special experience. Our tour guide Chaouki was very knowledgable and explained everything. Also he timed our tour so that we were the only ones at the sites for a truly private experience. He also took us through local towns so we could witness the weekly market - such mayhem but a wonderful experience to see how the local people buy their food, clothing and other things plus we were able to try some local mandarin oranges (the best we have ever had). The private tour was totally with the price and the experience one of a kind.

Amazing Dougga! - Outstanding visit to Dougga. These roman ruins are worth a visit. We spent about 2 hours and we could have easily spent 2-3 more. Bulla Regia was interesting but not as much as Dougga. Testour is not worth stopping by. Our guide and driver were very polite. Our guide was very knowledgeable.

Ruins at Bulla Regia & Dougga - Had a great tour to Bulla Regia & Dougga. I was amazed how big and well preserved the sites are. We had a nice tea break in Testour, and also saw the mosque and did some shopping.

Wonderful Winter Day Exploring Tunisian History - Had a great tour. Wonderful guide and driver. Both clearly well known and liked across locations and with other guides we ran into. Guide was very knowledgeable and gave good advice for the rest of my trip in Tunisia. Felt like he went above and beyond!

Highlight of Tunisia Trip! - This tour was amazing! The guide was able to tell me all about the sites and even more about Tunis and the surrounding countryside. All three sites were great to visit with fascinating history. Bulla Regia and Dougga are must sees and hard to reach by public transportation— do this tour! We ended the day in Testour where, in addition to the stops listed in the tour, the guide also helped me to buy some pomegranates before we left! The driver and guide were both super friendly and capable.

Hmmmmm….Interesting but really just an expensive taxi service. - Ahmed, the guide, was quite pleasant. Douglas is amazing as are the mosaics in two villas in Bulla Regiia. We grabbed a quick traditional lunch in a small town along the way, which was also quite nice. And it was only two of us on the tour, so it was a private tour. Viator’s charge of $247 USD was way too expensive given how far a dollar can go in Tunisia. For that money, this tour of two Roman ruin sites should have had a far more knowledgeable guide, or a significantly lower price. There was the guide—again, pleasant but not sufficiently authoritative at this price point—and a maniacal driver who would drive 80mph while looking at guide’s phone with—at times—no hands on the wheel. The city of Testour, known for its Andalusian architecture was also listed on the tour, but it’s only a 10 minute stop to look at a mosque. That was interesting though very brief and the tour description should describe it that way. I probably will not use Viator again. I find it is scarce on detail and guide biographies and extortionately overpriced.
