Tequila Tour (Route)

Operating Schedule: Estimated itinerary:

9:30 hrs - Transfer from hotel or private home within the peripheral to the starting point.

10:00 hrs - Start of the tour to the Tequila Route. (by bus)

11:30 hrs - Tourist tour in a craft distillery and explanation of the tequila production process (cooking, fermentation and distillation).

12:00 - Tasting of handmade Tequila.

13:00 hrs - Tour through the Magical Town of Tequila and free time to eat.

3:00 hrs - La Rojeña de José Cuervo distillery tour. (additional cost)

5:00 p.m. - Return to downtown points of Guadalajara (Historic Center, Minerva, Expo Guadalajara)

Excellent tour and a real bargain! - What a excellent tour! And a real bargain at about 40 bucks. Our guide, Carmen, was just the best. Narrated the tour both in Spanish and English. The stops along the way where well thought out. The tequila distillery tour was, I think, the height of the trip. What's to do in the town of Tequila. And make sure you sample the tequila ice cream!

Excellent :)) - The tour was super interesting, very complete. We see the complete process of how tequila is made; from the most artisanal to the commercial. They include a tequila company that only exports in which they give us an introduction to this process in addition to telling us the complete process and curious facts. Throughout the tour there are activities, tests and curiosities. On the part of the team that gave us the tour, the driver and guide were very friendly, at all times they tried to make sure we were comfortable and giving adequate time. Good restaurant recommendations too ;)

Great tour, easy, fun, worth every penny - Carmen was a great guide. Everything went perfectly from confirmations to drop off. They were early for estimated pick up time. Went to first small distillery to learn and have 3 tastings then went to stop on the road for clay jar cocktails. Photo op of agave fields, donkey, swing, horse. Drive into tequila for 3+ hours of free time. Jose cuervo tour optional might not be worth it since the first stop taught you everything. Lots of shops, bars, stalls for food, drinks, items. Depart at 430p and 3 central stops for exit.

The tour guide @Carmen was excellent, the best!!!, the same for the driver @Edgard who took us everywhere. - A beautiful tour that no one can miss if you travel to Mexico, places, culture, tequila and the magic of the tour.

Artisanal distillery & Jose Cuervo tour - My brother and I went on the one day trip to Tequila, visiting an artisanal distillery and Jose Cuervo. We traveled in a huge Sprinter van, which was comfortable. When we got to a roadside stop, the tour guide told us we were eating here because the restaurant in Tequila didn't have space for us. So we ate street tacos for lunch. This was disappointing. Tequila is a nice little town. It would have been nice to eat there and have more time to explore. The distilleries were great. Lots of sampling and more than sufficient time spent there.
