Situated in the northern areas of Vancouver Island, Telegraph Cove is a small sanctuary for those passionate about whale watching and conservation. Previously a fishing community, Telegraph Cove is now the spotlight for our ultimate whale watching journey. Setting off from Telegraph Cove Resort in a 12-seater open-air Zodiac-style vessel, this expedition offers a 3 hour fully-led tour observing whales and other oceanic wildlife.
- There is a minimum passenger height restriction of 4ft (120cm) and 50 lbs (23kg)
- Each passenger is required to sign a Release of Liability at check in. Participants must be 19 years of age, or require a parent or guardian to sign on their behalf
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date/time/vessel or full refund
- Not recommended for travelers with neck problems

Please check-in 30 minutes prior to departure time at Prince of Whales Adventure Center located at the north end of Telegraph Cove Resort next to the Telegraph Cove Whale Interpretive Center (24 Boardwalk, Telegraph Cove, BC V0N 3J0). The boat will not be held for late passengers.

Incredible experience! - Very good experience! James our Guide was very nice and pleasant. He gave us information about fauna and flora, was respectful of animals. We saw whales, sea lion, bear on the beach, eagles etc... I recommend this beautiful experience!

Breathtaking experience - My daughter, who lives in Vancouver, booked us onto the Whale Watching tour, which turned out to be the highlight of my visit from the UK.
We were on the very last tour of the season, and were lucky enough to see numerous humpbacks, orcas, sealions, seals and eagles during our time on the Zodiac.
James and Harley were very knowledgeable, and respectful of the animals' space and their environment. They were personable and fun throughout, making it an all-round fabulous experience!

Stunning whale watching tour with James! 100% recommended & all worth the long drive up the island! - We had a stunning whale watching tour with James! 100% recommended & all worth the long drive up the island! I've had 2 other whale watching tours before on Vancouver Island, but this one was for sure the best! James was friendly, helpful, informative and funny - we couldn't have asked for a better guide - and we saw so many animals, especially humpbacks, right in front of a beautiful rainbow (sounds too good to be true I know). It's the perfect spot for whale watching on Vancouver Island, if you want to be in wild nature and great company! Make sure to wear quite a few layers, if you plan on coming in late September since it can get very cold on the water. Still a great time for whale watching since you might see so many humpback whales feeding before they migrate to warmer waters. We loved it!

Can be a mind blowing experience. - This experienced will be remembered for the rest of my life. 15 minutes out of the cove we were surrounded by Humpback whales, lunging for food constantly throughout the 3 hours, Orcas playing with dolphins, slapping their tails and the display / sounds of the sealions. A must see. Our captain James provided fantastic background on the villages, sea life and interesting factoids. Not many photos as I resorted to video as the whales are fast. Haven't isolated the frames yet. Thank you again James

Many whales and a nice Guide to follow them - Extraordinary 3 hours- whales right to left - James was our Guide and ran the zodiac-friendly fauna and flora - gave us lots of explanations- really top -- changed location according to then returned- saw sea lions basking in the sun- the ride itself is beautiful with all the islets - I recommend

Great day on the water - We had an incredible day on the water. We have seen a lot of humpback whales and a group of transient orca and other wildlife. The orcas went on hunt for a dall`s porpoise which was interesting to watch. James did a superb job showing us things and provided an interesting commentary

Orca magic - Awesome trip.
A full boat of different nationalities was kept safe/entertained and informed superbly by James.
We saw Humpbacks, Dalls Porpoise, the ‘T23’ Bigg’s Orca group, Sea lions, eagles.
A hunt and capture between the Orca group and an unlucky Porpoise - all with informative and good humoured descriptions from James.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

AMAZING TRIP! Highly recommended!! - The main reason for this trip was to go whale watching in telegraph cove and it was WORTH IT! Big shout out to James our guide who did an amazing job, great jokes and very knowledgeable!

Amazing Experience - Had an amazing sunny fall day out on the water. Saw at least 13 Orcas, Humpbacks and a group of Sea Lions. Thanks James! You were a great guide. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge of the animals with us.
