Tusheti National Park - Begin your adventure from Tbilisi, traveling through the picturesque Kakheti region. Stop by the historic town of Telavi and the magnificent Alaverdi Monastery. Proceed to Alvani, then traverse the stunning Abano Pass, one of Europe’s highest drivable passes. Arrive in Omalo, the entrance to Tusheti, and discover the charming villages of Dochu and Bochorna.
Day 2: Exploring Ancient Tushetian Villages
Tusheti National Park - After breakfast, explore the renowned Keselo Fortress and the Que Viewpoint for awe-inspiring views. Venture further into Tusheti to discover the remote and well-preserved stone villages: Dartlo, Kvavlo, Parsma, and, if weather allows, reach Girevi—the last accessible settlement near the borderlands.
Highland Villages and Return to Tbilisi
Tusheti National Park - Visit the tranquil Village Diklo and hike to Old Diklo, close to the Dagestan border. Incredible experience in... - Amazing experience in Tusheti! Elene and Tato were great hosts! If you want to visit Tusheti without doing a multi-day trek I recommend the group trip with Tusheti Travel

Dream Tour - For 2 years I was too scared to visit Tusheti because of the road. But then a friend recommended a reliable company with professional drivers and the best guide. I joined the tour on August 22 and I truly had an amazing exprerience.

Excellent - safe driver, beautiful scenery, best trip in Georgia - This was a trip of a lifetime. Georgia is a beautiful country but this 3 day trip to Tusheti was the highlight. My biggest concern was the drive on the Abano Pass and the small, narrow unpaved roads of Tusheti, but Kartlos was an absolutely excellent driver. You could tell that he knew these roads and had plenty of experience in navigating the terrain. Safety was my biggest concern and at no point did I ever feel unsafe. For safety reasons alone I would rebook this trip.
However, the rest of the trip also exceeded my expectations. Kartlos answered every question whether it was about Georgian food, culture, politics, religion, etc. and gave us insight into Georgian and local Tush life. He also kindly served as a photographer and took amazing pictures of our group. Plus he even showed us how to enhance our own photo skills on our phones! My camera roll is now jam packed with amazing photos from the various villages, mountains, and rivers that we explored throughout the trip. The scenery is truly breathtaking and you don’t have to worry about massive crowds. The beauty in Tusheti is still largely untouched and is preserved by the locals.
Every meal was a feast and there was never a shortage of wine or cha cha. The accommodations were simple but great for our stay and the host family was very kind.
If you are choosing between this tour and another - opt for this one. Tusheti is only accessible for about 3 months per year and this tour company made the trip even more amazing. I would highly it recommend to others and rebook next time I visit the country.

Tusheti – An Experience I Will Never Forget - At first, I was a little nervous because I had heard the road to Tusheti could be dangerous, and I was also traveling alone as a woman. But choosing Kartlos was the best decision. He is such a safe driver and knows the region like the back of his hand, so I felt completely comfortable the whole way.
What I really appreciated was how he paid attention to my personal needs and made the trip feel very relaxed. The food was delicious, the host families were incredibly kind, and the accommodation was both cozy and beautiful.
Thanks to Kartlos, I could simply enjoy Tusheti without any worries. I warmly recommend him to anyone who wants to discover this unique region in the best way.

Discovery: Not to be missed when in Georgia. - This is the most exiting tour we have ever had! Best Tusheti Experience I’ve ever had - I traveled with Tusheti Travel on their 3-day weekend tour and it was absolutely perfect! The trip was very well organized, everything ran smoothly, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. It turned out to be one of the best holidays I’ve ever had, made even more special as I was traveling with my childhood friends.
