Featuring 16 towering columns adorned with detailed carvings of Georgia’s kings, queens, and biblical scenes, it remains unfinished but stands as a testament to the resilience and spiritual legacy of the Georgian people. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views over the Tbilisi Sea and gain a profound insight into the nation’s history.
- Jvari Church - Jvari Monastery is a 6th-century Georgian Orthodox monastery situated on a hill overlooking the meeting point of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers near Mtskheta, Georgia’s ancient capital. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is a stunning example of early Christian architecture, featuring a simple yet harmonious cruciform design. According to legend, it marks the location where St. Nino erected a cross to signify Georgia’s conversion to Christianity in the 4th century. Jvari offers spectacular views and serves as a powerful emblem of Georgia’s spiritual and historical legacy.
- Svetitskhoveli Cathedral - Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, situated in the historic town of Mtskheta, is an 11th-century Georgian Orthodox cathedral and one of Georgia’s most esteemed religious sites. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is celebrated for its remarkable architecture, intricate stone carvings, and rich frescoes. The cathedral is traditionally believed to house Christ’s mantle, brought to Georgia in ancient times, making it a revered pilgrimage site. Svetitskhoveli has been the location for the coronation and burial of Georgian kings and continues to symbolize Georgia’s profound Christian faith and cultural heritage.

Great private day trip from Tbilisi - We had an amazing private tour with David. He was extremely professional, very knowledgeable, and shared so many interesting insights about the places we visited. David was also very attentive, helpful, positive and easygoing with a great sense of humour. By our request, he also organized a private visit to Château Mukhrani Winery, which was absolutely beautiful and very enjoyable. David was reliable, punctual, and truly went above and beyond to give us the best possible experience. Thanks to him, our private tour became the highlight of our trip, and we can highly recommend David to anyone visiting Tbilisi and its surroundings! Thank you, David!
