Fun and interesting day trip - Metro, our guide, was very friendly and taught us a lot about the monastery and Georgian culture. We drove through stunning scenery to get to each location where we were met with more breath taking views. I highly recommend this tour as it isn't crowded and provides a hassle free way to visit some famous and even lesser known sites. Good value for money.

Great day out, fantastic guide - I don't usually do organised tours as I prefer to make my own way to places, however, getting to this location isn't easy with public transport. I was very happy I picked this tour, it was a really nice day out. Our guide was great, very informative and funny too. His knowledge of global geography is amazing!!!! We did a hike when we arrived at the monastery and that was really nice, then we walked through the monastery and to finish off we walked up the back of it towards the Armenian border. The views were fabulous!!!

Gret vibe, great view - We had a tour with Ledo from Gamarjoba-Tours. Since we were the only ones to book the tour on this day, it felt like a private tour. First we got to a supermarket to get snacks. First stop was the salt lake, lovely view and enough time to really take it all in. After that, we went to Rainbow Mountains. At the monastery were nice and clean restrooms which we could use for 1 GEL. The guide was really considerate of us, often asked us if we needed to take a break and knew alot about the mountains. He didn't seem bored, but excited and showed us his favourite places. After that, up to the monastery we went. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the monastery and everything that belonged to it. Last stop was a cave no longer in use at the very top of the mountain. Phantastic view! After the tour we chilled a little at the office of Gamarjoba-Tours, where we were offered free WiFi and wine. Since Lado was very enthusiastic about it, he showed us a clip of classical Georgian dancing, which he offered live commentary for (not part of the tour but honorable mention. Don't be shy and ask your guide for their favourite thing about Georgia!). Overall, nice trip. You should bring sturdy shoes and a light bag, since climbing up and down the mountains was pretty exhausting.

Trekking in a rural landscape - Very well organized excursion accompanied by a prepared guide. We could appreciate the natural beauty of this part of Georgia as well as rural. The total trek was 8 km of medium difficulty. Very recommended. They call them mountains but they are actually hills.
