Great trip! - The tour was a great introduction to the ecosystem and a fun activity for all. Our group included individuals from 10 to 70+. The paddling was easy for all. We saw dolphins, rays, jumping schools of fish, oyster beds and a variety of bird life. Julie was great! Highly recommended for all.

A great time watching manatees! - I went kayaking today with Julie and a small group. It was amazing! We learned about Tarpon Springs and the history of the sponge industry, and we also got to see a whole lot of manatees. Julie is a great leader and tour guide. She’s a lot of fun, but she make sure that you Are safe. It’s obvious that she really cares about the ecosystem and knows a lot about the flora and fauna. I would go again! You don’t have to know too much about kayaking, but we did kayak for about two hours and went 3 miles. I am definitely tired, but the pace was slow and we had very little wind.

Awe inspiring - First off we got to experience a once in a lifetime! It was only my husband and myself with our wonderful guide Julie. A passing boat informed us they thought there were Manatees nearby so we paddled to the spot. We saw many manatees who were mating(?) or something and we couldn’t tell how many were in the frenzy. Many times they came up to our kayaks even passing underneath as if checking us out we saw 1 or 2 with their babies lifting their heads above water. It was such a Magical experience that the rest of the ride seemed uneventful. We circled around the mangrove and When we got back to the same spot, there was not a manatee in sight. I believe things happen for a reason, and for some reason we were put there to witness the spectacular event.

Kayak problems. - Don’t expect to see a lot of wildlife. We saw one dolphin and one mullet. It was educational learning about the type of wildlife that use the mangroves as their nursery. And it was an easy paddle, no current, no waves, lots of sun. Unfortunately, my kayak had a faulty seat support so I had a difficult time for the 2 1/2 hours without adequate support for my back. The guide noticed about a half hour before the end of the trip and provided me with a couple foam inserts to help my low back.
