Wonderful afternoon of wine, food & company - My husband and I booked the food and wine tour to immerse ourselves in the culture of Taormina and Sicily, and what we received was so much more. Alfredo was our guide, and he shared not only his personal story of growing up in a town outside of Taormina, but also the rich history of the city itself. He masterfully wove the food and wine into the storytelling, making every stop feel meaningful and full of culture. The afternoon was filled with laughter, great wine, and delicious food. Alfredo did a wonderful job as our host—his energy and passion made the experience unforgettable. Avanti, Avanti, Avanti! Indietro, Indietro, Indietro! Salto, Salto, Salto! Alla salute vonostra!

Tasting Sicily at its best - Great fun, plenty of delicious local food to accompany all the wines and liqueurs. Alfredo was the perfect guide, knowledgeable, funny and charismatic. Good value for money, lots of choice of dishes, nice informal group atmosphere. Definitely recommend!!

A relaxed evening of food and wine - A very pleasant evening in the company of our guide Rosario who was excellent. He was friendly and had a good knowledge of food and wine and explained it well to us , but didn’t overload with information. We stopped at three places near Corso Umberto. White wine red wine and liqueurs were the drinks. Appetisers and a meat and cheese platter and then pastry deserts. It was a great way to know more of the local food and wine so we can choose more knowledgeably when we are in restaurants. We really enjoyed the evening .

Excellent food and wines - This was a very good tour. Our guide, Alfredo, is quite a talker (and a very good singer), and his English is fluent and easy to understand. I found him quite entertaining. We were provided with more food than we could eat, and then we went to a pasticceria for dessert. I do not eat meat and one of my friends does not eat fish or seafood, and I was pleased that they accommodated our food preferences. There was much more wine on this tour than others I have taken including 2 glasses of white wine at the first stop and 3 glasses of red at the second, and we were then given a selection of liqueurs to try at the last stop with dessert. This tour was a great introduction to Sicilian food that is not pizza or pasta.

Fun evening - Very easy paced walking with only 3 stops - but all with lots of different food to sample and lots of wine as well. Guiseppi was very friendly, easy to understand and able to explain all about the different foods. Great fun.

The tour guide was... - The tour guide was friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. The food was ok. There was no main entree. There were three restaurants. Don’t use this as a walking tour. It is a food tour with average food. It is good if you want to learn about Sicilian food

Go if you like desserts and wine. - Alfredo was a very entertaining guide. All of the food that was presented in the three stops were representative of Sicily and quite good. The wine as well. There is more drinking than eating. There needs to be another stop. The first. Appetizers, not appetizers with mains. The cheese is the second stop, but should be the second. The third should be the main but it was dolci. The dolci was too much, four pastries and three liquors.

Grape Expectations - It was a beautiful night for a walking wine and food tour in historic Taormina. Our small group met at the gate to the old city and we had three stops on the tour. Our tour guide was Jerry who hosts this tour just once a week. Our first stop was just outside the gate to the old city. The wine and seafood were plentiful ...they even offered replacement food for those with shellfish allergies or with Celiac. Next stop was a lovely little wine bar in the heart of the city. Here we had three glasses of wine with a charcuterie board of salumi, cheese and garnishes. There were 8 of us on the tour and we all got along splendidly. Our next and final stop was at a cafe for pastries and liquors...plus a nightcap on our own dime with our new friends we met from the UK. All in all it was a good tour, our host did the basics but lacked the enthusiasm to take this tour to the next level. He delivered us to each location but then disappeared into his cellphone or with locals. It would have been a much better tour if our host was engaged with our group and helped us enjoy the spoils of our evening in the historic city.
