For several years now, our restaurant has offered the chance to enroll in Cooking Courses and Pizza Making Classes at our Taormina outlets. Whether you’re a beginner or an aficionado, these courses offer enjoyable and instructive experiences unique in their nature. Want to turn into a Chef? Our courses tutor students in preparing Sicilian Cuisine, Meat-based meals, Seafood dishes, Fresh Pasta, Sicilian Macaroni, Ravioli, Tortelloni, Tagliatelle, as well as in preparing Dough, Pizza, and Bread. Each cooking lesson commences with a guide through local Fish Markets, led by the Chef’s nuanced knowledge, spotlighting the best fish to purchase on the day to later cook with your own hands.

A must do in Taormina - Was so much fun and well worth the money. We made pasta, two fish dishes and a veggie dish which all tasted nice and was fun to make. Had nibbles and wine in between making them which they didn’t stop refreshing. Got to keep the aprons and was given a certificate as well. Atmosphere was amazing and everyone was so friendly and attentive. Beautiful sea view from restaurant.

Very enjoyable - Very fun cooking class with a big group. We enjoyed it a lot and would definitely recommend. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English.

Super cooking class à la siciliana - The cooking class began with a reception by the chef and a bottle of mineral water. In English, the course was explained to us, which lasted 3.5 to 4 hours. In the beginning we walked to the covered market, just a few minutes walk away. At the small market of Taormina, we were first explained the ingredients that we later used in the restaurant. Small and funny anecdotes about the cooking of the Chef's grandmother made us immerse ourselves in life in the Sicilian families.
Four different traditional Sicilian dishes were prepared, which were well explained. After the first preparations of the food, there was a small snack, with salami, olives, grapes, cheese and bread, plus plenty of white and red wine. After the break, the other dishes were prepared, paying attention to intolerances and allergies, so that everyone got their money's worth during the subsequent meal together.
The explanations of the chef and his numerous helpers of the cake crew were very detailed and always peppered with a pinch of humor. Every single participant was personally addressed, it was like cooking with friends!
The large group of all kinds of nationalities harmonized very well, so that the common and above all abundant food turned out to be very interesting.
A big praise to the entire kitchen team of the restaurant Porta Messina... it was a great experience!

MUST DO! - Definitely recommend doing this during your stay in Taormina! We had a giant group of 12 people and the staff and our guide were incredible during the class. Lots of laughs, a ton of great food, and wonderful memories!

Entertaining and informative Sicilian cooking course - We both really enjoyed our morning first visiting the market then learning to make pasta and various other dishes. It was a lot of fun and the chef kept it very light hearted and entertaining. We then sat down and ate the dishes we had prepared.

Create Interactive Experience - Fantastic atmosphere within the restaurant. Our Chefs Daniel (pasta shapes) & Luca (Sicilian food) were both awesome. Lovely engaging with other travellers & having a few laughs. The pasta making was ...let's say creative (in terms of our abilities) & the Sicilian food was exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed the night & the whole experience.

Highly recommended! - Such a fun experience! The instructors and staff were friendly and informative, and the food we made was delicious too. My teenage sons enjoyed and thought it was a highlight of our trip to Sicily - my husband and I agree.

One of the Best Excursions Ever! - This experience was one of the best of the entire trip!
From the meeting point, to the market trip, to the cooking class, Chef made our day one to remember!
This is an experience for the whole family regardless of age or cooking ability.
I cannot say enough about what a spectacular experience we had!!
Book early as it is likely to sell out!! It is a DO NOT MISS excursion!!
