Historical tour of Taormina and Castlemola - We had a beautiful day in November so Mt Etna was fully visible, along with all the lovely sights in Castlemola and Taormina. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable in the history of the area. We felt like we really filled the day! We also enjoyed tasting the local snack— which was a huge portion and very tasty. This is a very good historical tour.

Marco Outdoes the Weather! - From the beginning of our correspondence, our tour guide Marco was lovely. We had an unusual tour because it unexpected poured rain, forcing us to divert inside and off of our schedule. HOWEVER — that didn’t stop Marco. He took us around efficiently to sites including: historic churches, Castelmola, Christina’s for arancini. He also took great instagram photos of us and made sure we understood everything and that he explain that equally as smoothly.

Day trip to Taormina and Castelmola from Catania - We had a very enjoyable, fun visit driven and guided by Corrado. He gave us lots of history and information and pointed out interesting details along the way. He was also understanding of my husband’s slower pace of walking and made a lot of effort to work around stairs or to give us choices as much as possible.

Pleasant experience - My wife and I had the pleasure of doing this tour with Marco. He was very knowledgeable and very funny. Very down to earth guy. We had a great tour today, and stopped at some places and he took beautiful pictures of us, and we sampled some local food and drinks and ended with a pleasant lunch. I highly recommend this tour. Perfect way to see what Taormina has to offer.

Lovely tour with a friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable guide, highly recommended for a tour of the beautiful cities - Great tour with a super guide, we felt she was a friend showing us the history and beauty. Great time, views, knowledge, very welcoming and accommodating- we didn’t feel pressured and felt we had options to take the tour where we wanted at our own desired pace. Elena was a very great guide and the lunch was super local and artisanal. Such a fantastic way to get to know the history of the area. Highly recommend.

Great experience! - This tour was definitely the highlight of our trip! Marco did an amazing job, he was very patient and informative, a great guide! We had a Taormina tour, followed by an amazing traditional Sicilian lunch in Castelmola town. The lunch was delicious and we even tasted local wine. After lunch we had the opportunity to enjoy the stunning view from the castle and a walking tour of the town. We really recommend this tour and Marco as a guide!

A Mixed Experience in Sicily, Taormina, and Castelmola - Our trip to Sicily, Taormina, and Castelmola had some great moments, and we would love to return to explore more. The food and shopping were definitely the highlights, with an incredible variety of local specialties and unique finds. However, there were a few disappointments that marred the experience. Unfortunately, our tour guide didn’t select the restaurant for us, leaving us overwhelmed by the numerous options. In a place known for its exceptional cuisine, the guide should have picked the best of the best. As Italians are known for their high standards when it comes to food, this felt like a missed opportunity. I hope the tour company reads this and considers making the necessary changes. For the cost of the tour, we also expected better transportation. The car provided was small and filthy, far from the level of comfort we anticipated. Given the price, a Mercedes van would have been more appropriate. While the driver was knowledgeable, he wasn’t particularly helpful when it came to assisting older members of our group, especially with navigating stairs. Instead, he spent too much time chatting with shopkeepers. This was in stark contrast to our other drivers, who were all very compassionate and attentive. Overall, we had a good time, but these issues took away from what could have been an amazing experience. We hope the tour company makes improvements for future guests.
