Taormina - Your personal tour leader will pick you up at your accommodation/port in Taormina area, and you will start your wonderful private travel to the highest active volcano in Europe. Driving by comfortable, air-conditioned car through the small authentic mountain villages, you will admire unforgettable picturesque views of Sicilian countryside full of oranges and lemon plantations, olives and almond trees, houses and churches built of lava stone.
Our first stop will be in Zafferana Etnea, small charming village on Etna slope, famous with its honey. You will visit a local honey store and taste the produce of the fertile volcano terrain - honey, olive oil, olives, wines and liquors. -
Mount Etna - You will continue to ascend Etna reaching “Rifugio Sapienza” station at 2000 mt. Here you can visit famous Silvestri Craters, admire breathtaking panoramas, visit souvenir shops offering gifts of lava, refresh yourself in some bar or restaurant. Optional ascent by cable car and jeep with the authorized Alpine guide to 3000 mt. If the tour starts in Messina you will visit the Sartorius Craters.
After visiting Mt.Etna, the guide will chauffeur you in relax to one of the best wineries on Etna slope. At the winery you will have will have a tour of the estate, see how the grape is growing, and visit the cellars, while the expert sommelier explains you all about the wine making process and the history of this family run winery. Then you will have traditional delicious and hearty lunch of locally produced cheeses, salami, prosciutto, fresh bread, olives and home-made olive oil and a traditional pasta dish. A professional sommelier will offer you 4 glasses of Sicilian Etna red and white wines.

Additional Information
During the private tour by comfortable air-conditioned car, you will visit Etna - the highest active volcano in Europe. This tour is private - only for your party, nobody else to ensure the highest standards for our clients.
Your friendly private guide will pick you up at your accommodation, port or train station in Taormina, Giardini Naxos, Letojanni or nearby Area. You will get to know the history of volcano creation, about eruptions, culture, myths, and folklore of “Mamma Etna” and Sicily itself. Driving by private car through authentic mountain villages and visit some extinct craters.
Then you will visit one of the best Etna wineries and have lunch of fresh local food with fine red and white Sicilian wines.

- We have private tours, only for your party, however at the beginning of the excursion we will give each guest a mask, protective gloves and hand sanitizer.

We took a private tour of Mt. Etna with tasting of local honey and olive oil and then went to lunch after walking around - Corrado was our guide on this most fantastic tour of Mt. Etna with tasting of local honey and olive oil, then walking around the lava caves and craters. Off to lunch we went to a local winery run by 2 brothers. They were so hospitable and the homemade food and the wines were absolutely delicious. They took such great pride in their local meats and foods. The views from atop the winery were unforgettable. What a wonderful experiencen Corrado was so kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you for a truly memorable day.

Mt Etna experience - I had a wonderful tour of Mt Etna with my fabulous guide, Coraddo. He explained everything to me regarding the history of Mt Etna’s eruptions, lava flows & crater formations.
Afterwards we had a nice wine tasting and lunch.
Highly recommend!!!

An amazing day - Our guide Mauricio was exceptional, very patient and knowledgeable. I am extremely limited with my mobility and he went out of his way to ensure I didn't miss out (even getting the locals to move their cars!)
We had an amazing day and although quite expensive, for me, it was worth every penny.

Incredible Etna experience - We had a fantastic time on this tour. Alessandro was incredible. He was patient with my children and extremely knowledgeable on everything etna. The tour was catered to our needs and we all had a great time. Highly recommend!

A Great Day on Mount Etna with Elena - Elena was an excellent guide. She met us at our Airbnb right on time and took us to Mount Etna for the morning and afternoon.
Our hike was perfect, my wife had a sore foot so we did what she was comfortable with, which was a lot. Elena had walking poles which really helped us out.
After our hike of Mount Etna we went to the Gambino winery for a tasting and light lunch. Delicious wine and food in a beautiful setting.
Elena was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us suggestions of things to do in other parts of Sicily.

Great experience with Alessandro - Alessandro was a great host and was so knowledgeable! We learned so much and had a great tour! He even took us to a cave which wasn’t planned but we had time for. He maximized our time and was so pleasant! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area

Incredible Experience - This was an incredible tour! Our guide Corrado was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I love that our tour was personalised to our preferences too! It was so easy with the pick up at our accommodation, and communication was effortless. The local winery is run by two brothers and has superb wine and home cooked lunch! It was the perfect day!

Incredible Mt Etna and a local winery, best of all worlds! - What an amazing day! We were picked up at our hotel, stopped for a quick wine tasting and honey tasting and then headed up to Etna. We took the cable car up and then did the jeep tour and a hike to see the craters, the scenery was stunningly beautiful and other worldly. We then checked out a lava tube with our guide and then headed to a local winery run by two brothers that was incredible. We tasted four wines and had lunch there which was one of our best meals in all of our time in Sicily. It was super casual and intimate, just the two of us sitting outside in the peace and quiet at the winery enjoying the slow good life of Sicliy. Our guide Corrado was fantastic, highly recommend this tour!!!

Spectacular tour!!! - We had a fantastic tour guide~Alessandro! He knew exactly the routes to take in the breathtaking views of Mount Etna. His knowledge of the history made our tour extra special!! We stopped at specialty shops along the way to a winery/vineyard on the mountain. We enjoyed the local wine tasting and tasty Italian cheeses and snacks. The vineyard was spectacular!! We were taken on a mini tour of the vineyard on a golf cart~so fun! This tour is a must!!!!

Great tour of Mt Etna - Alessandro was excellent. The tour was great even though it was changed from what was expected.. He was so very accommodating and made surprise tasting for us in local store...I would highly recommend this tour. Alessandro was 5 star...!!
