Unique experience - The park is fantastic, the Guide and the driver were spectacular, very friendly and always attentive. We were able to see all the animals except the lions, but considering the size of the park it would be a matter of luck.
The flight was a phenomenal experience and the pilots were extremely friendly.
Thank you very much to the whole team.

Stunning safari - I rarely write reviews, but this trip more than deserves an excellent review. We were initially quite nervous if everything would work out as we had imagined. But everything went smoothly. In coordination with the operator we changed our destination to Mikumi National Park as the Selous tour was not available at the time. The day tour was very well organized from the beginning and we didn't have to worry about anything. We were picked up from the hotel at 6:00 in the morning, the exact time we learned the previous afternoon via WhatsApp. Questions were answered very quickly.
Flying into the national park by small plane was an exciting experience. Arriving at the destination, we met our guide Everest from Hola Africa. He speaks good German and English and introduced us to nature in the Mikumi National Park in a wonderful way. He could answer all our questions very well. We have seen many animals up close, including zebras, elephants, giraffes, hippos and even several lions. It was a wonderful, unforgettable day and the highlight of our trip.

Was really looking forward to it & I enjoyed it even more than I expected! - Amazingly beautiful scenery, incredible to see so many different kinds of animals, very well organised with super friendly staff. One of my favourite days this year.
Pick-up was decent, well organised at the airport only having to wait 15 minutes before departure, flight was swift (30 min), the Land Rovers were in good condition and were comfy and we had a good lunch too.
We saw: elephants, hippos, bison, water-buffalo, giraffe, zebra, antelope (many kinds), pumbaa, baboons, crocodiles and more. Didn't see lions or leopards though unfortunately (less common in rainy seasons in Selous).
Take note that this is a woodland safari rather than a savannah so there's much more greenery, if you're expecting wide-open plains, this isn't that. But the benefits were that the scenery was probably more beautiful (the massive lakes and rivers), but you often couldn't see as far as you would on a savannah. Also be aware during and just after the rainy seasons the animals are more dispersed as the animals' food is more readily available so you'll see more animals in the dry season when food is more concentrated. I went in December which is just after a rainy season and we still saw loads of animals though.

A treasured day filled with glorious memories. - We just got back from the most wonderful, and magical day. Everything ran super smooth from pick-ups, to flights and then onto the Safari. Our driver and guide were really friendly, and our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all and any questions we had. The jeep was comfortable and allowed a lot of shade for when it got really hot.
The setting as you land during sunrise is stunning, and then it's off into the bush! We were over the moon to see elephants, zebra, giraffe, water buffalo, hippos, impala, warthogs, wildebeest, baboons even a cobra! There are a few jeeps out there, and they all communicate with each other in regards to where the animals are so rest assured. If the animals are spotted you'll most likely get to see them. The Lions illuded us this time, but honestly, it really didn't matter. Seeing these amazing creatures in their natural habitat is a gift. The memories we made today are ones we will treasure forever.
Some tips. Make sure your hotel packs you a breakfast box as you will stop for coffee but not lunch until 12/1pm. There are snacks you can buy after you've gone through security though.
Bring a hoodie or a jumper as the morning can be pretty chilly, especially with the wind blowing through the jeep, and maybe a scarf for when it gets super dusty. and always tip the driver and guide!

Book this tour if you are in Zanzibar! - This was the most incredible excursion I have ever been on! An absolute must if you are in Zanzibar. Super well organised, our pickup from the hotel was very early at 3.40am ready for our flight to Tanzania at 6am. Everything went smoothly, no long wait to get on the plane and in the air. We arrived in Nyerere National Park by 7am and hopped straight into the jeep. It was a small group of 6 which was nice as it felt very personal and the guide could answer any questions we had. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and areas we visited. We spent all day on a game drive through miles of the national park spotting every animal you could hope for. Elephants including a baby, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, hippos, crocodile and a lion. The lion walked straight past our jeep within a metre of us which was incredible. If you are in Zanzibar I feel this is a must do, once in a lifetime trip! Thank you for making our holiday one to remember, forever.

An eye opening experience - +very organized in making sure you know where to go
+saw 3 of the big 4 animals there
+guide was knowledgeable
-no tissue or paper towels for the bathrooms (bring your own just in case)
-we recommended they add another break between when we had coffee and lunch.
-told we could go to the bathroom in the bushes during one of our breaks….(not ideal due to wild animals, no privacy, no tissue, etc)
-lunch was cold but not sure if there’s anything that could be done about that based on the set up.
I recommend wearing layers as it can be quite cool in the morning but then gets quite hot later. I also suggest some type of glasses or sunglasses to keep the dust out your eyes. It can be a bumpy ride so I also recommend women wear a sports bra.
