First Class Safari Experience - I cannot rate this experience highly enough. We were promptly picked up from our hotel for the trip to the airport and the flight was on time. Staff were very polite and professional and the flight was smooth. No sooner had We landed at Selous Game Reserve we were introduced to our guide Frank and driver Abdul and shown to our jeep. Their knowledge of the park and animals was first class. The guides all communicated with each other informing them where animals were located to ensure we got the best experience. The animals were in abundance and we got so close to them. An African elephant even came over to our jeep to say hello. It is an experience that will live with me forever for all the right reasons. If you are pondering over booking, please just do it. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

Safari Selous February 2025 - We took off from our Hotel The Mora at 3:45 am, an hour drive to arrive at 4:45 am at Zanzibar Airport where we were able to have lunch in a bar while waiting for other travelers. We took a small plane around 6am, a little apprehension quickly dissipated because it was very good. Destination Selous, where we landed on clay around 7am, directly in the park, spotless landing. Travel in 4x4 with a guide speaking French. We saw plenty of animals including some of the big five (buffalo, elephants and lions). The guides prepared us breakfast and lunch. We took off around 5pm from the park to return at 6pm to Zanzibar. Everything goes very well in one day. Some sleep on site but I think one day is already very good in this park. The vegetation was dense and we really enjoyed it. Nor are we scholars in search of all the animals which is surely why one day was enough for us. We came home tired but satisfied.

An experience we will never forget!! Thank you!! - What a wonderful experience from start to finish! Would definitely recommend this one day safari when holidaying in Zanzibar! Our guide, Nelson, and driver, Mohamoud, were so professional and knowledgeable. They made the day an unforgettable experience, one we will treasure for the rest of our lives. We were lucky enough to see most of the beautiful creatures who live in the park, more than once too. The food, hygiene and safety were all great. The jeep (which looked brand new) was very comfortable too. Also great communication from the person handling the excursion on WhatsApp. We had a decent size airplane and a very competent pilot that landed us on a well maintained airstrip. Don’t hesitate, book it!!

Incredible Safari, Outstanding Service - ATA Safaris took care of every detail during our trip to Tanzania. From airport pick-up to drop-off, everything was seamless. Our guide, Edward, was a professional through and through. He knew the terrain, wildlife, and even the best spots for photos. The game drives were exciting and we saw so many animals up close. We even got to witness the Great Migration in the Serengeti, which was the highlight of our trip. The camps & ATA Safaris Lodge were amazing—comfortable, with excellent service and food. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

a n amazing once in a lifetime experience - an amazing once in a lifetime experience. saw animals within minutes of arriving. the pick up plane ride and meet and greet at reserve was seamless. KP our guide was superb, made so much effort to get us close as he could to the animals to get maximum experience.he went above and beyond and so professional. All the park guides were great all radoing in when animals were spotted so whoever u are with you will get a similar experience. we saw birds, warhorse, lions ,hippos, crocodiles zebras, giraffes and elephants, we had plenty of time to stop and observe the animals being in their natural enviroment eating, feeding young etc. The guides tried to so hard to find the king with no avail....as we were driving back to the airstrip he was spotted so they allowed us some ex tra time to go into the bush to see him. my highlight of the day. There were two clean toilet sites and food was very good considering the conditions we were in a national park

Unique experience - The park is fantastic, the Guide and the driver were spectacular, very friendly and always attentive. We were able to see all the animals except the lions, but considering the size of the park it would be a matter of luck. The flight was a phenomenal experience and the pilots were extremely friendly. Thank you very much to the whole team.

Stunning safari - I rarely write reviews, but this trip more than deserves an excellent review. We were initially quite nervous if everything would work out as we had imagined. But everything went smoothly. In coordination with the operator we changed our destination to Mikumi National Park as the Selous tour was not available at the time. The day tour was very well organized from the beginning and we didn't have to worry about anything. We were picked up from the hotel at 6:00 in the morning, the exact time we learned the previous afternoon via WhatsApp. Questions were answered very quickly. Flying into the national park by small plane was an exciting experience. Arriving at the destination, we met our guide Everest from Hola Africa. He speaks good German and English and introduced us to nature in the Mikumi National Park in a wonderful way. He could answer all our questions very well. We have seen many animals up close, including zebras, elephants, giraffes, hippos and even several lions. It was a wonderful, unforgettable day and the highlight of our trip.

An eye opening experience - +very organized in making sure you know where to go +saw 3 of the big 4 animals there +guide was knowledgeable -no tissue or paper towels for the bathrooms (bring your own just in case) -we recommended they add another break between when we had coffee and lunch. -told we could go to the bathroom in the bushes during one of our breaks….(not ideal due to wild animals, no privacy, no tissue, etc) -lunch was cold but not sure if there’s anything that could be done about that based on the set up. I recommend wearing layers as it can be quite cool in the morning but then gets quite hot later. I also suggest some type of glasses or sunglasses to keep the dust out your eyes. It can be a bumpy ride so I also recommend women wear a sports bra.
