Tarangire National Park - After breakfast at the hotel, set off for Tarangire, Tanzania’s third-largest national park, known for its exceptionally large elephant population. The park is adorned with majestic baobab trees that tower over the animals grazing below. Wildlife gathers around the Tarangire River, the only permanent water source in the region. The park boasts a rich variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to 6,000 elephants. Enjoy a game drive with a picnic lunch. After another game drive, head to Twiga Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lodge to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Crater - On this remarkable day, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge around 8 am for a one-hour drive to the gates of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll bring along a lunch box and mineral water. Before descending into the crater, you’ll stop at a viewpoint to observe the crater from above, using binoculars to get a closer look at the wildlife. Then, you’ll drive down into the crater for a four-hour game drive with lunch. In the evening, you’ll ascend the crater and start your journey back to Arusha.
