- Long time world traveler, and first time poster (Think North America, Europe, Asia, South America). I literally just returned from a Duma Explorer adventure a few hours ago. I grew up as poor black girl in New York City, except replace "black" with "white", "girl" with "boy", and "New York City" with "Rural Northern Wisconsin USA". It's about the same thing. Thinking about taking a plunge? Want to try something other than a temporary, trending Insta-perfect adventure? Look no further. Contact Stacy with your general idea(s), budget, and timeframe. She's prompt, precise, and will provide you with all options. I was fortunate enough to pair with Justin who's calm, curious, and committed. We cracked jokes about "The Ugly Five" (insert hand motions of the creator dashing salt / pepper into a bowl while stirring), caught the "Big Five" on camera due to his skill and commitment, and relaxed at some of the nicest, non-fenced, camps throughout the bush. I had literal elephant neighbors at Tarangire to keep me company at night. Look, if you're still reading this - what's the harm? Contact Stacy to get an idea. She doesn't bite, she'll connect you to a guide that matches your personality, and you'll have the holiday of a lifetime. 10/10.

- Our 5-day safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro was unforgettable—thanks to our guide, Iddy. He made every moment feel tailored just for me and my friend, Dustin. From spotting lions at sunrise to explaining local stories with heart and humor, Iddy brought the experience to life in a way no guidebook ever could. His deep knowledge, sharp eye, and personal touches turned a dream trip into a lifelong memory. If you're going—request Iddy. Truly one of a kind.

What an incredible experience! - Our 6 day safari including Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Serengeti National Parks and stays at 4 different tent camps was an incredible adventure, especially thanks to our guide, Isack. His passion for the region and ability to find wildlife surely led to the diversity of sights and sounds we experienced. He’s extremely knowledgeable and we very much enjoyed his company. All of the lodging exceeded our expectations with practical comfort, King beds, great meals and friendly service. Looking back we wouldn’t change a thing. This was our richest experience in decades of travel. Thanks Alika!

The right choice for your safari - Holy moly what an adventure, worthy of a 10-year anniversary trip. Our guide Ebenezer was a gem of a human being. He answered our million questions, knew the good spots to hit and ensured we had a fantastic trip. He was always there for us and I will never forget the experience with him Thank you! All around amazing trip with just the right amount of time in each place. I will never forget the sites and sounds. We ticked all boxes, up close to every animal. Even spent over an hour with a pride of lions with cubs. We did it all.

Raj & Raeshma’s Tanzania Safari Adventure - Duma’s customer service was professional, highly responsive, and worked within our budget. They helped us arrange bus travel from Nairobe, Kenya (where we landed) to Arusha in northern Tanzania. They also helped us book wonderful hotel accommodations in Arusha at the Outpost Lodge before the start of our safari. From the moment we arrived in Arusha we were greeted and guided by our friendly and knowledgeable driver Isack. He showed us around the city, and dropped-us off/picked us up from the hotel to begin our adventure. Isack was an expert driver (which is important to have, as the terrain can be rough and challenging). He was also extremely knowledgeable in Mammalogy (mammals/animals), Ornithology (birds), Geology (earth), and Botany (plants/flowers) which made the experience incredibly enriching, as we are curious travellers with many questions! Also Isack had keen eyesight and spotted/located/identified numerous animals for us (lions, rhinos, sables, leopards, exotic birds, etc.) His 20 years of professional guide experience made him a familiar face to many other guides, and they freely shared information on where lion, rhino, and leopard signtings were. Every safari tent lodge we stayed in felt like luxury accomodations (electricity, good lighting, king sized beds, hot showers, toilets, etc.), and the staff at every tented lodge were warm, welcoming and service-oriented. We enjoyed the adventure of a lifetime, and can’t wait to return!

First Serengeti safari was a dream come true - Our private safari with our tour guide Isack was absolute perfection. From the very moment our plane touched down in the Serengeti, Isack arranged everything beautifully and safely. This trip was a dream come true for us, and as it was our first-ever safari, we could not believe how fortunate we were to end up with Alika Africa and with Isack as our guide. He was so incredibly thoughtful and educated about every little thing, from the population and mating habits of the animals to the plant life, and even the types of rock we were seeing. We felt like we were with a scientist, not just a guide. His personality was laid-back, fun, and open minded. Even after spending all day in the car with Isack, we looked forward to eating dinner with him and chatting more with him every night. By the time we left our safari, Isack had become a true friend to us and we certainly miss him dearly. If I am ever lucky enough to go on a safari, I will be sure that I am able to hire Isack again as my guide - I wouldn’t have it any other way. We saw more big cats with Isack in 5 days than most people do in 10 days, and we even saw the Great Migration twice in one day thanks to his expertise. The accommodations were also very nice and high-end, with all of the comforts you would expect. The food was perhaps the most impressive part - we ate better during our safari than we do at home in the US. Our experience was 10/10, and I would highly recommend Duma/Alika for anyone looking to go on safari.

A great Safari experience - Had a great experience on Safari in Tanzania with Duma Explorer / Alika Africa. Msangi is an excellent and experienced guide who was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and all the animals (which we fortunately saw a lot). Everything was prepared for us and you can tell he really takes care of his Land Cruiser which made the driving component comfortable and felt very safe. I can see how the guide for a safari can really make the experience since you spend so much time with them and I’m glad we were lucky enough to have Msangi. All the best!

Magical Memories - We had the most amazing Safari which was definitely helped by the fact that our driver/guide Msingi was so experienced and knowledgable. He also looked after us like family and was extremely caring. He managed get everything possible out of each day but the highlight was being present for the birth of the Wildebeasts on Valentine’s Day! Unforgettable holiday of a lifetime. Cannot recommend highly enough.

North Tanzania Safari - After the trekking on Kilimanjaro, we spent our second week of holidays visiting the north of Tanzania. Duma Explorer/Alika Africa offers the possibility to customize the tour and the the agency was very kind to provide us all the support in order to better organize the tour. We visited Tarangire NP, Lake Natron, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro conservation area. Thanks to our guide Isack we discovered amazing places and saw so many animals. It was incredible to see lions, hippos, zebras, giraffes so close. Moreover he taught us a lot and he was very prepared to satisfy our curiosities.

Safari with Isack! - The second part of our travel consisted of a 6 days of Safari. Again Duma explorer was the best choice!! Stacy during the travel organization was so helpful in defining the best tour possible!! Choosing very particular and amazing place where to stay during the travel! We visit Tarangire Lake Natron North and Central Serengeti and at the end Ngorongoro. Our guide Isack made these days unforgottable!!!! He taught us so many very interesting things on all the animals, the nature and environment!!! He is so prepared and has amazong eyes!! He can see (and show to you) a very small bird eating a snake on the top of a tree!! Or even a group of cheetah in the yellow grass! But to us the most important thing was his GREAT RESPECT OF ALL THE CREATURES AND NATURE! And trust me is not so obvious (we saw very bad things just to obtain a good photo!). ASANTE SANA ISACK!!
