Dar es Salaam to Mikumi: A 6-Hour Journey
Mikumi National Park - Begin your day early at approximately 5:30 AM when you will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam (or from the airport, please specify) to embark on a drive to Mikumi National Park. The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach the park’s entrance gate. Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation to refresh and enjoy lunch. After a brief lunch break, the game drive will commence and continue until sunset. Following the game drive, dinner will be served, and you will stay overnight within the park at the cottage.
Full Game Drive
Mikumi National Park - On this day, after breakfast, you will head to the Mikumi gate to begin a full day of game viewing. At 12:00 PM, lunch will be served at Mikumi Wildlife Camp. After a short rest at the camp, the game drive will resume until 5:00 PM, when you will return to your accommodation. Animals to spot include elephants, lions, leopards, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, jackals, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, bushbucks, and more.
Sunrise Game Viewing & Masai Culture, Then Drive to Dar es Salaam: A 6-Hour Journey
Mikumi National Park - Start your day with a sunrise game drive to observe animals such as elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, elands, impalas, crocodiles, and others until around 8:00 AM. Afterward, enjoy breakfast and then drive to a Masai boma to learn about the history of this nomadic tribe. This is also an opportunity to watch and participate in their traditional dance. Following this cultural experience, you will begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam.
Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be taken to your hotel or residence, marking the end of your 2-day trip with Kumekucha Africa Tour & Safari.
