After completing registration at Machame Gate, the journey begins through a vibrant rainforest. The path may be muddy and slippery, so trekking poles are recommended. Along the way, you might see giant ferns, ancient trees, and possibly monkeys. Arrive at Machame Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Machame Camp (3,010m) → Shira Camp (3,845m)

Details:
Prepare for a steep ascent as you climb above the forest zone. Enjoy breathtaking views of Kibo Peak and Shira Plateau. Upon reaching Shira Camp, notice the change in vegetation to shrubs and moorland.

Day 3: Shira Camp (3,845m) → Lava Tower (4,630m) → Barranco Camp (3,960m)

Day 4: Barranco Camp (3,960m) → Karanga Camp (3,995m)

The day begins with the renowned Barranco Wall climb. Although it appears daunting, it is an enjoyable and non-technical scramble. The trail continues through ridges and valleys until reaching Karanga Camp, offering stunning views.

Day 5: Karanga Camp (3,995m) → Barafu Camp (4,673m)

Habitat: Alpine desert

Details:
A brief but steep trek leads to Barafu Camp. This serves as the base camp for the summit. Enjoy an early dinner and rest in preparation for the midnight summit attempt.

Day 6: Barafu Camp (4,673m) → Uhuru Peak (5,895m) → Mweka Camp (3,110m)

Kilimanjaro National Park - Hiking Duration: 10–14 hours (Summit Day)

Distance: 17 km

Habitat: Arctic zone (summit), then rainforest (descent)

Details:
Awake around midnight for the summit attempt. The trail is steep and demanding, passing Stella Point (5,739m) before finally reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m) — the highest point in Africa! After celebrating and taking photos, descend to Mweka Camp for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Mweka Camp (3,110m) → Mweka Gate (1,640m)
