Zara Tours — An Exceptional Tanzania and Zanzibar Experience - I would like to commend and congratulate Zara Tours for providing me with a truly exceptional and memorable experience in Tanzania and Zanzibar. From beginning to end, the trip was thoughtfully planned, professionally managed, and executed with great care. Several key elements contributed to the overall success of this journey. Foremost among these was our driver and guide, Joseph Tillya. Joseph was outstanding in every respect. He is an excellent driver, and from the moment we began our travels, we felt completely safe and well looked after. His extensive knowledge of the regions we traversed, the wildlife we encountered, and the logistics of the journey—including ideal viewing locations, animal crossings, and well-timed stops for meals and lodging—was impressive and clearly the result of years of experience. Equally important was Joseph’s warm and caring manner. He answered our questions patiently and thoroughly and consistently ensured that we experienced the wildlife up close in their natural environments. By the end of the safari, we were delighted to have seen the Big Five. When my daughter became ill during our second stay at Highview Hotel, Joseph went well beyond his responsibilities, accompanying the doctor and remaining with her throughout her treatment. I will always be deeply grateful for his kindness and compassion. Each day, our vehicle was meticulously cleaned and prepared, and Joseph’s attention to detail never wavered. He was truly exceptional, and I would strongly recommend that future travelers request him as their guide and driver. Our accommodations throughout the safari were excellent. We stayed twice at Highview Hotel and also at Serengeti Wild Camp. Both properties were comfortable, clean, and situated in peaceful settings that provided a welcome respite after full days of exploration. The staff at each location was attentive and responsive, and at Highview Hotel in particular, I was very appreciative of the staff’s prompt action in securing medical care for my daughter. The food throughout the trip was of consistently high quality. Meals were varied, well prepared, and plentiful. Both Highview Hotel and Serengeti Wild Camp offered excellent dining, and it was clear that the chefs took great pride in their work. The national parks we visited—Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire—fully met and exceeded my expectations.The combination of extraordinary landscapes, abundant wildlife, and interactions with the Maasai people made the experience deeply enriching. Planned stops were well organized, and lunches along the way, while simple, were entirely satisfactory. My daughter and I also participated in a hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti, operated by Serengeti Balloon Safaris. This was a superb experience and a first-class operation from start to finish. The balloon ride at sunrise was breathtaking, and the champagne brunch served in the bush was an elegant and memorable conclusion to the morning. We added to our safari exerience with stops in Zanzibar and Stone Town. Travel to Zanzibar was seamless and efficient. Upon arrival, we were promptly met at the airport and transferred to Ocean Paradise Resort. This resort proved to be the perfect place to relax after several days on safari. The rooms were spacious and well maintained, with daily housekeeping and a thoughtful turndown service each evening. The food once again stood out—varied, flavorful, and consistently excellent. We made a point of complimenting Scotty, the food and beverage manager, on the quality of meals served throughout our stay. I would gladly consider returning to this resort in the future. On our way to Stone Town, we elected to take a spice tour, which was both informative and enjoyable. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable, and the lunch provided was unique, well prepared, and delicious. Stone Town itself was another highlight of the journey. We stayed at the Tembo Hotel, which is ideally located on the beach. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, equipped with both air conditioning and ceiling fans. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore shops, parks, and nearby attractions on foot. The guided tour of Stone Town further enriched our understanding of its history and culture. On our departure day, our driver arrived ahead of schedule to take us to the airport, reflecting Zara Tours’ continued attention to detail. There was one aspect of the trip that was disappointing and merits mention. My daughter and I participated in the Turtle and Beach excursion, but we were not provided with adequate information in advance regarding what to expect or what to bring. Towels and water were not provided, and the experience did not align with the description presented in the brochure. Rather than swimming with turtles in a natural cavern, we were taken to a rescue facility, which, while informative, was not the experience we had anticipated. Later, we learned that there is indeed a cavern where visitors can swim with turtles—an experience we would have preferred had this option been clearly communicated. Given the otherwise high standard of planning throughout the trip, this lack of clarity was surprising. That said, this single experience does not detract from the overall excellence of our journey. Should I return to Stone Town, I would definitely go to Cheetah's Rock. We learned of this the last day with no time to arrange a visit. This is an up close and personal experience with rescued and well protected animals ~ cheetahs among them. Zara Tours provided a truly remarkable travel experience, characterized by professionalism, thoughtful service, and genuine care for their guests. I wholeheartedly recommend Zara Tours and confidently award them five stars.

Eventful safari over all expectations - David was a skilled guide, who was also reassuring to drive with. David could answer anything we asked. He was accurate, helpful and always in a good mood. The tents in the camp were good and spacious. The staff was helpful and friendly and the food was good.

A Truly Unforgettable Safari - Just wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to you and World Adventure Tours for the most INCREDIBLE trip we have ever been on. We have just got back from our safari trip and it was one we will remember for the rest of our lives. From the very beginning with pick up and the hotels and service at the hotels- it was fantastic. I am so glad i ended up booking the hot air balloon experience too, was a spectacular morning. An absolutely phenomenal experience especially staying at the Safari Lodge in the Serengeti. What a surreal feeling! My most special heartfelt thank you goes to Regan Kimario, our driver for the 4 days. What a legend of a gentleman! His service and mannerism was impeccable from the very beginning all the way to the end. He is a real credit to the company! Our safari was everything and more than we could have imagined and it was all because of him. He kept his vehicle clean everyday, he was patient (despite 3 flat tires in 4 days he was still smiling!), he was extremely knowledgeable with the animals, info on the country, life in general and such a lovely man to spend our days with and get to know. We were able to enjoy hot lunches on our safari days and not just cold sandwiches because he carried his tupperware and hot tub flasks. We realised how lucky we were when I saw other tourist eat sandwiches pretty much everyday. His experience in the industry was evident throughout the days we spent with him during the game drives and the long drives through Tanzania travelling from different National Parks and most importantly we always felt safe. My only constructive feedback to management is that Regan absolutely deserves an upgrade in his vehicle which matches his expertise! He takes great care and pride in his job as a driver and guide so only right that he has the vehicle to portray this and gets to deliver in style! I'm not entirely sure who Regan is employed by whether it's World Adventure tours or Zara Tours, whoever it is I would really appreciate if this feedback about him is passed on to the Managing Directors of the company as I truly believe credit is due when absolutely deserved and he deserves exactly this. We were just customers for Regan but for us he is someone we are so thankful to have met and will remember for the rest of our lives. Many thanks again for helping us book a trip of a lifetime. Super Safari - Super nice holiday had, what an experience. The entire Safari was arranged to perfection. Super neat and nice sleeping places among the wild animals. We had Madeal as a guide, with 19 years in the business he knew exactly how to drive to the right places and show us the wildlife. Overall a super organized trip !!

Excellent Safari - It was perfect, super fun and excellently arranged. Really everything about this trip was a 10! Driver was also excellent, friendly and knew how to tell everything.
