Your driver will stop at some scenic viewpoints overlooking the crater. Continue via Olduvai Gorge, known as the cradle of mankind, and optionally visit the Laetoli footprints, where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey made significant discoveries about early humans. A picnic lunch will be provided by your driver guide, followed by game viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Tortilis Tented Camp.
- Serengeti National Park - Start the day with an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, set off for another game drive with a picnic lunch. In the late afternoon, proceed to Ngorongoro, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay at Rhino Lodge.
- Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an incredible game drive with a picnic lunch. The crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where you can see the rare black rhino in its natural habitat. With its 2000 ft. high walls, the crater is home to lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. With some luck, you might spot the ‘Big Five’ during a single game drive. In the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
