Must do for Tamarindo! - It was excellent! The company came and picked us up at our hotel for no extra charge and was 5 minutes early. The guide/boat captain was fluent in English and told us all about Costa Rican history as well as all the animal species in the area. The highlights of the animals we saw were: a whole troop of howler monkeys, two crocodiles, and a boat billed heron (which is very rare apparently). I highly recommend if you are in Tamarindo. Make sure you bring shoes that can get wet and some good bug spray for the little hike to see the howler monkeys. I highly recommend the earliest tour (7:30AM) as you will see more animals. Probably way better than a kayak estuary tour since there's a lot of distance to cover.

An animal-filled experience in the mangrove - Loved this tour! Firstly, after you book, they will ask what time you want to go. We were offered 7.20am and a couple of other times, and they responded quickly once we chose. I was a bit nervous about this as we only booked the day before, but it worked perfectly. Apparently they do it this way so they can match the tides, to give the best experience. We also requested pickup and the driver was very punctual. The driver collected us and took us about ten minutes away to the Estuary where we got on the boat. Be aware that you might have to get your shoes a bit wet to get on the boat. On the boat, our guide was also the driver. He had a wealth of knowledge about not just the Estuary but Costa Rica and the wider region. He knew everything, it was amazing. He and another staff member were constantly looking for animals and we saw four crocodiles! Our guide took us off the water to look for howler monkeys and we found a small group including a baby, which was lovely. For this portion, you go into a slightly marshy area and this has A LOT of bugs. You should bring bug spray with you, and when the guide tells you that you're getting off, apply the spray. Overall this was a fantastic trip and really great value for money, I'd highly recommend it.

Real crocs - not the shoes :) - We saw 3 crocodiles, many birds, and mangroves. I did not get out to walk briefly into the mangroves due to mobility issues but many others did. Apparently it wasn't much to see anyway.

Christian was fantastic!! Highly recommend this company for all tours in the Tamarindo area!!! - Christian was fantastic!! A great guide and facilitator. He ensured an excellent experience for my family, incl'g my 2 little girls. He went above and beyond, despite the poor weather during the tour to ensure all participants were able to see the maximum available wildlife and had a memorable experience. We even booked a tour w/ him directly for the following day upon this ones completion. I highly recommend this company for all tours in the Tamarindo area!!

Absolute rip-off, just don't do it. - Mangroves on the left, mangroves on the right and already over an hour was over. A minicrocodile seen, although advertised with the big Bruno. Absolute rip-off. You can't see anything. There are hardly any animals. Fresh pineapple and water was served.
