Worthwhile - What a great experience! We have been kayaking most of our vacations and did it regularly back home so not much had to be explained there. Pablo went out of his way to pick trash/plastics out of the Estuary, while explaining taking care of the environment (love that). He also made it a mission for us to spot crocodiles, which was our main goal for the excursion. We saw crocodiles, crabs, a variety of birds, two families of howler monkeys and heard hundreds of clams snapping closed. All in all very well worth it. Definitely take mosquitoe repellent for the short hike and a small waterproof bag for wallet, keys and phones.

Great experience! Saw... - Great experience! Saw monkeys, crocodiles, and lots of birds, and the mangroves were beautiful. I was the only one taking the tour at that time and Pablo picked me up at my hotel and we used a tandem kayak, which was a good thing because it’s the rainy season and the current was strong.

Excellent morning adventure! - Had a great time and got some good exercise paddling in the Mangroves with Pablo. Early morning was great before it got hot. We hung out with a family of howler monkeys for several minutes. They came close in the branches overhead as we approached and we looked at each other for a while. Thanks Pablo.

Fun and informative tour - Pablo was a great tour guide….always looking for wildlife to point out to us. We saw lots of birds, some monkeys resting in a tree and even a small crocodile. We enjoyed a good paddle and then a small hike through a wooded area. It was very informative and enjoyable.

Great guided kayak tour of a Costa Rican national park - Our guide was friendly, laid back, and knowledgeable of the area. Saw some incredible wildlife and got a good workout touring the national park. Had an opportunity to get out and walk through the jungle looking for monkeys (though they were not around, we spotted the Guardabarranco: colorful national bird of neighboring Nicaragua). If you like kayaking and don’t fear the possibility of a crocodile or two, highly recommended. Great way to immerse yourself and connect with the Costa Rican wildlife!
