A great way to experience Costa Rica! - This tour was great! Our guide, Jose, was really good— full of facts and helped us spot a lot of animals. We saw all kinds of birds, including several toucans. We also saw three separate vipers, several frogs, butterflies, and some beautiful flowers. We saw several sloths, including a juvenile that was almost within arm’s reach! Lunch was great and the coffee/chocolate tour was very interesting. Jose even stopped to let us buy souvenirs on the way back. I’d definitely take another tour with these guys!

An Amazing Experience with the Best Guide! - A highlight of our trip! I traveled alone with my kids and was a bit nervous to book this, but Jose was an *amazing* guide. He made us all feel comfortable, ensuring that we had what we needed, that we were okay the whole time, and was constantly looking after us. He was an absolute pleasure to talk to all day, educating us on Costa Rica history and culture, and while we hiked he was able to point out so many different animals and take such great photos for us! Lunch was delicious—my very picky daughter still talks about how great the chicken was. We saw baby sloths up close, monkeys, vipers, frogs, a coral snake, so many birds, etc. Such a great experience—do not hesitate to book!

Family Day Out - The tour guide and the driver were wonderful, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and respectful. The tours including the blue waterfall, sloth, coffee, and cocoa were very educational for us, especially our elementary kiddos. We enjoy our time with this team. Would high recommend them.

Incredible Adventure!!, - This was an adventure of a lifetime! Our tour guide Jose M. Was incredibly knowledgeable about the plants, animals, geography, and history of Costa Rica. We saw rare birds, a red-eyed tree frog, poison dart frog, an eyelash viper, many sloths and howler monkeys. A highlight was a young three toed sloth that was at eye level. We could have picked it up! The lunch was delicious and Jose’s expertise really added to the experience, Highly recommend!,

Incredible experience! - This was a truly amazing experience. First of all, HUGE thank you to Alex. Such an amazing tour guide and just a wealth of knowledge. We feel very lucky to get to know him. The waterfall hike is pretty easy with a couple of hills. The stairs to go down to the waterfall are steep and long. But, there is a landing about half way down with a great view of the waterfall. Alex found a pit viper to show us right now to the trail. And he also explained how different plants were used in traditional medicine. Then, on to the sloth sanctuary where we were greeted by monkeys and a beautiful toucan. We also saw four sloths high in the trees, some beautiful flowers, incredible frogs, and another type of pit viper. From there we had lunch which was incredible. After lunch it was on to the coffee plantation where we had an amazing tour and explanation of how coffee, cocoa, and sugarcane is grown, harvested, and processed. They also showed us the traditional Costa Rican way of preparing coffee as well as chocolate milk with raw (roasted) cocoa. Note this is a private tour! We didn’t realize that. But it was just me, my wife, and Alex. Truly a trip we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Wonderful tour! Great for moderate hikers out there! - Wonderful tour! Make sure you read the details because it says what it means! The hike is a moderate hike to see the waterfalls. If you struggle with hills and stairs this may not be your tour. We have seen people with hiking sticks. If you struggle with balance, it may be a good idea to bring hiking sticks especially when it rains and the rocks can get slippery. Our tour guide Daniel was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the history, nature, plants and animals. The second hike through the nature sanctuary for the sloths is an easy hike. So many wonderful animals to see. The coffee and chocolate experience was educational and delicious. Bring a change of clothes, a raincoat and bug spray. If you forget- no worries, they have places that sell ponchos and such. You will get rained on since it is the rainforest- even though we are in dry season.
