During this time, guests can savor delightful drinks, take in the breathtaking scenery, and possibly spot marine life such as whales, dolphins, turtles, and rays. The boat will then anchor in a cove near Playa Huevos for various water activities. Following these activities, guests will return to the boat to enjoy a delicious, light meal around 4 PM. After the meal, the anchor will be lifted, and the return trip to Tamarindo will commence. Throughout the journey, guests can enjoy good music, drinks, perhaps some dancing, and likely witness a stunning sunset. The return to shore is scheduled just after sunset.

Tours during the high season tend to sell out, so it’s advisable to book early. The reservation cut-off time is 11:30 am on the day of the tour.

Amazing snorkeling! - Things we liked:
Amazing view on the trip
Lots of snacks and drinks.
Friendly staff, including Mateo, the Jr. Capitán.
It was a nice small group, as I saw the other boats around with crowds of people, I was grateful that there were only 14 on our boat.
We saw great fish. I saw two puffer fish! We also saw sea turtles on the way to the lagoon.
I wish there had been flippers for the snorkeling, but that was the only con, really.

A wonderful Tamarindo scape - The adventure start at boarding taking a little boat to the catamaran where you are welcome with a fruit drink on the way we had some fruit snacks, chips, and more drinks to where we get a glimpse of some wildlife like sea turtles, and dolphins. Then we get to the part with the snorkeling and swimming on the ocean are three men crew were very friendly attentive and always keep safety in mind. Tamarindo can be an overwhelming town and this is the best way to go out in the ocean and relax this company know what they’re doing. Will recommend hundred percent.

Great family fun - Great fun for the family! Everyone from age 7-77 had a great time. The crew were great with the kids - played songs on request and got them dancing. Food was delicious. The boat was really clean. Great experience!

Great for teens! - I traveled with a group of 15 university students. Snorkel gear, pool noodles, and life vests were provided. The crew had everyone up dancing. This was one of my group's favorite Costa Rica experiences!

Excellent! - Had a great time! Good communication. All the staff were helpful. Boat was fun. Open bar! Fresh fruit and a lunch buffet. Great snorkeling. Would definitely go again!

Great afternoon boat ride, even with a few setbacks, but would highly recommend. - Great afternoon boat ride with the Blue Dolphin crew, they were very helpful and provided excellent service. Both of our daughters got a little sea sick, and they were really attentive, accommodating and even provided over the counter medicine to help with the dizziness. Music was great too. awesome playlist btw. Beautiful and unforgettable experience. thank you

Catamaran adventure - Such a fun experience. Met lots of great people from all over.
Free drinks throughout! An hour ride to the secluded beach where we swam, snorkeled (not great for snorkeling), floated in the water. Enjoyed more drinks.
A nice meal of tacos served when we got back in the boat. Ride home at sunset.
Really a great time with great staff and other guests. Totally recommend. Enough food that it was dinner. A good value and a great time!

My husband and I took this excursion. We were the oldest and did not love much of the music, but the younger guests did. - The crew was fantastic and the scenery was beautiful. Daniel and his team worked hard to make sure everyone was comfortable and had fun.

Not very family friendly - This was not a family friendly excursion. If you are looking for a rated R experience, then this tour is for you. If you want to listen to raunchy music with “_uck”, “ho,” and “cutchy” lyrics, then this tour is for you. If you are college girls looking to dirty dance with the captain during the tour and then make out with him right after you disembark, then this tour is for you.
There was also false advertising. Snorkeling is not an option. Although we were able to use a large float mat, it required us to ask and receive a check of the watch and dirty look. Food was delicious but only provided for a short while. Drinks were watery with very little alcohol unless you were the aforementioned college girls hooking up with the boat captain.
The boat ride was very pleasant and offered a beautiful sunset view. Just know what you’re getting and not getting with this tour.
