Best day ever!!!!! Unforgettable unique natural beach experience with trusted guide! - I had the most amazing day with Esteban! While I'm staying in Tamarindo on the beach, I wanted to see a more secluded relaxing natural beach. But, I didn't know where to go or want to swim alone for safety reasons. So, I took a chance on this tour. Best decision! He picked me up in his jeep from my hotel, we stopped to get snacks/drinks even though he had a fully stocked cooler and then hit up a few beaches. He pitched a tent, made some snacks, and then we went snorkeling and saw a bunch of fish and even some large jackfish. Some more snacks followed by a sunset hike with amazing views. Then we had a BBQ dinner and he made Tica smores on a campfire and we got to relax and see the stars. There was so much more, but I don't want to give all the surprises away. As a solo female traveler, he made me feel very safe and taken care of the whole day. He even took a ton of photos that I wanted with a smile. I'll definitely be a repeat customer and recommend this experience to my friends! I sent a text to my sister that night saying it was one of the best and happiest days of my life and I can't wait to have an experience like this again :).

Pura Vida from DC! - We booked with Esteban for my birthday. He picks you up from your preferred location and you set out for a dope experience on a local beach. We chose Pirates Bay as we had previously saw Manas beach the day before. Esteban had EVERYTHING you could think of for a day at the beach. He set a tent, cooked us lunch via grill and s’mores via bonfire, AMAZING! Estaban was also educated on the country which made for great conversation. You can snorkel, swim, climb the cave or hike with this experience. Don’t think to long, just book it! Definitely worth the experience.

MUST DO IN COSTA RICA - If you want to see Costa Rica like a local this is the tour for you. I would count it as one of the best experiences of my life! Esteban crafted a custom experience for us based on our interests and showed us all of the local spots. We started with a trip to a private beach where him and the chef cooked us a delicious meal on the beach. Then we went snorkeling and saw some amazing sea animals and felt so safe with Esteban guiding us through the water! We ended the night with a hike on the beach to an amazing lookout point and a beach fire with s’mores to top it off. Whenever I travel I always want to experience a country like a local and that’s exactly what Pura Vida day trip was! 1000% recommend and I can not wait to go back!

Live like a local - This was my second timing visiting Costa Rica and my second Pura Vida Day Trip with Esteban! Spending the day with Esteban is a MUST DO when visiting the Guanacaste region. It’s truly a way to live like a local. Esteban is friendly, fun, and a genuine person who has always made me feel safe traveling as a girl in her 20’s. Each trip he picked us up and took us off the beaten path to explore a secluded beach in the non-touristy areas. He set up our tent and chairs on the beach for us, he taught us how to snorkel and we saw lots of marine life, he served us drinks and fresh fruit on the beach, and even cooked us a wonderful and fresh dinner right on the beach with the help of Demien, a private chef. Esteban also took us on a beautiful sunset hike to another beach where we decided to go night swimming and Esteban came into the ocean with us to ensure we felt safe. Once we got out to warm up he made a fire for us on the beach and served us some tico s’mores. Esteban is an awesome host and he is excellent at tailoring your Pura Vida Day Trip to you and your needs. He ensure you love a pura vida lifestyle with no worries. He is also very knowledgeable about Costa Rican culture so it is a wonderful way to learn more about the country from a local. If you want an authentic Costa Rica experience this is your chance, this day has been the highlight of my trips!

An Amazing Experience Near Tamarindo - For our 2nd trip to Costa Rica my fiance and I were seeking an experience off the beaten path. This daytrip with Esteban did not disappoint. He catered the experience to our every wish. There were many options, but we ultimately decided to visit a "secret" beach which allowed us to enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica away from the busier, more touristy beaches around Tamarindo. We snorkeled, hiked up some very manageable terrain to observe a truly incredible sunset, and ended the day enjoying a few local beers and freshly grilled food around a beach campfire. Esteban could not have been a better guide. He was on time, polite, and left us feeling as though we made a friend for life. We are truly grateful to have taken this incredible journey. If you want to experience the true nature of Costa Rica away from the crowds, then this trip is for you! We will never forget this perfect day.

Fantastic Day with Esteban! - We had a fantastic day with Esteban and it was the highlight of our trip. We had a day filled with exploring and relaxation and it was just what our bodies and spirits needed. It started out with a noon pick up and drive out of the touristy area to a nice quiet secluded beach. The road is a challenge to maneuver and Esteban knew all the secrets to get there. This helps it stay private to all the tourists. We started our beach day with a lovely picnic of fresh fruit and juices, including fresh coconut water. Esteban then took us snorkeling and we saw all kinds of fish and sea urchins. I loved that the time in the water was what we wanted and not on a scheduled tour's clock. We had Esteban all to ourselves! We stayed in the water so long and got to really enjoy the surroundings. After our swim Esteban prepared a beautiful meal for us. I have several dietary restrictions and he knew just how to cater to me! After our meal we went to enjoy the sunset with a hike over the hill. Even though it was overcast day the sky was amazing. We had such a great day and made a new friend in Esteban. We will definitely connect with Esteban again when we return and highly recommend his services.

Highlight of vacation - I've been to Costa Rica a couple of times and it's my pleasure to say this was one of the best activities I've done. Esteban knows the area very well and gave us a couple of options on things we could do. He took us on a hike that took us to an eye dropping view of Pirates Bay. If you don't like hiking then there's snorkeling, if you don't like either then you can explore the private beach. If you don't like that beach, there are other private beaches he can take you to each having their own beauties. This is a "must do" if you're going to Costa Rica.

Feel Like A Local On A Costa Rica Beach - I would highly recommend this trip with Esteban. It was the last day of our trip and it was just what we needed. He picked us up at our hotel then we stopped at a local grocery store in a small town north of Tamarindo so we could get the kids snacks and some ice cream. The drive to the beach was really cool and Esteban was a pro off-roader and even got us to a part of the beach that most couldn’t get to. The beach is on a cove with rocky hills all around but plenty of sand to build castles and walk along. We just wanted a chill day so we opted out of the hike and enjoyed body surfing and relaxing in the hammock with a few cold Imperials. We ended the day with grilled shrimp and beef pitas, peppers and cheese, and yummy s’mores. The sunset was the most beautiful that I’ve ever seen. My favorite part was that it’s a huge contrast from the busy beaches of Tamarindo. It felt like a secret little spot that the locals were kind enough to share with us. Again, I would highly recommend this trip. It was the perfect day!

An Authentic Day of Costa Rica Pura Vida! - Our family had the perfect day with Esteban. We enjoyed snorkeling, went on a sunset hike that ended on a large rock with absolutely incredible views, ate some of the freshest fruit ever imagined possible, and enjoyed a delicious fireside dinner on the beach prepared by Esteban. My two boys (11 and 12yo) literally cannot stop talking about our day with Esteban. One of the best parts of this day is that you can choose to do as much or as little as you like. It felt like we finally got off the Tourismo van and experienced Costa Rica like a local (….with a little help from Esteban and MaKenna!)
