- Tamarin Bay Surfschool Mauritius - Our company takes you on an unprecedented morning quest: the observation of dolphins in their natural habitat, the Tamarin Bay. The morning offers perfect conditions for having the chance to observe the two fabulous marine mammals: the spinner dolphin (Stenella longirostris) and the bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), which often take refuge in the bay at night in order to mate and feed. Embark with your guide on the kayaks to discover in a responsible and respectful way the dolphins of Mauritius.
This 2-hour adventure is open to everyone and does not require any previous experience with kayaks.
It is important to note that we cannot guarantee with certainty the presence of dolphins. These are sometimes off the coast, inaccessible by kayak. An alternative route will then be proposed to discover the Tamarind River and its wildlife.

A special wildlife experience - We had a great family experience and were lucky to spot lots of dolphins. It felt much more relaxed and eco than jumping on and off a speed boat. Yudish made us feel very comfortable and safe and even took us down the river to see monkeys as a bonus!

Great experience in the Bay DE Tamarin - Great mom ENt in the morning in Tamarin Bay to see dolphins. Then we went upriver among the groves. Great memories. The weather was great and the guides Mathieu and Yudish super nice. I really recommend it.

Best and respectful dolphin experience - Olivier is a warm and wonderful local, and we felt very comfortable with his expert guidance and at ease in his company. We saw some beautiful dolphins, but his company and the serenity of the ocean and views are also enough. A unique experience and the only way to see the dolphins.
In contrast, be prepared for dozens of petrol guzzling boats and snorkellers jumping off boats chasing dolphins - this felt less respectful of the dolphins in their habitat and felt intrusive (and a bit vulgar )
We would go out Kyacking with Olivier anytime!!

Best way to see Dolphins - Best way by far to see and experience dolphins in Mauritius! Amazing sea kayaking and we got to see dolphins up close before any of the boats spotted them, best guide you could hope for!

Saw a pod of dolphins, great experience - Great experience which I highly recommend, spotting dolphins is not a guarantee but we were lucky to have seen a pod. Mathieu was very knowledgeable and attentive.

A beautiful experience - We had a superb kayaking experience with Mathieu. He was warm and friendly and got the group feeling relaxed from the start. The experience out in the bay at sunrise was beautiful. After waiting patiently we did eventually get to see a small pod of dolphins swimming nearby. An amazing experience, and I was happy that the welfare of the dolphins was important to Mathieu. After spending some time watching the dolphins in the bay we got to paddle a little way up the river. I would highly recommend this experience!

Mauritius - Paradise Found - Mauritius is an incredible place. Welcoming, friendly, safe, organised.
Hotels abound and the scenery is breathtaking.
The climate is tropical, so expect some rain, but lots of sun and fabulous lagoons, sea, beaches…

A beautiful way to start the day! - We absolutely loved this kayak tour with our guide Mathieu. We met Mat a couple of days prior for a guided hike and on both occasions he was kind, patient and knowledgeable. We saw many dolphins, a beautiful sunset, and generally had a beautiful start to the day. 100% recommend this experience. Thank you Mat!

Great experience - The tour was great and we saw a lot of dolphins. As more and more boats came we were still sailing along the Tamarin River. It was beautiful and our guide was great
