Mole National Park Safari
Mole National Park - In the morning, your Tour Guide will lead you on a walking safari with a Ranger who knows the park intimately. This safari involves walking through the park in search of animals, and you will likely see a variety of bird species, antelopes, kobs, elephants, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, monkeys, crocodiles, and more. The walking safari is scheduled for the morning when the weather is cool, making it easier to walk and allowing for a quiet visit to the animals without disturbing them. Walking safaris are set to start at 7:30 am and end at 9:30 am, lasting two hours.
After breakfast, you will depart for Mognori Eco Village at 10:30 am, a 45-minute drive from the park. At Mognori Eco Village, you’ll discover the traditional way of life, stunning natural beauty, and the hospitality of the local community.
Mognori - In this community, you will experience a Canoe Safari, paddling through the serene waters of the Mole River, which flows directly from the White Volta, spotting exotic birds, fish, Nile lizards, and other aquatic life. Next is a community walk, which involves a leisurely stroll through the village to interact with locals, learn about their customs, admire their architectural designs, visit traditional homes, and climb the rooftops of their mud houses.
A visit to a Traditional Herbalist will illustrate how herbal medicines are made and preserved to treat various illnesses in the village.
The final activity in this community will be witnessing or participating in a hands-on shea butter-making session, learning ancient techniques and recipes passed down through generations. A cultural dance may also be witnessed, depending on prior arrangements.
Mole National Park - An unforgettable evening drive safari will be arranged to start at 3:30 pm and end at 5:30 pm, using a Jeep to navigate through the forest and capture live memories of different wildlife species, incredible biodiversity, and stunning landscapes. Our experienced guide and ranger will provide insightful commentary on the park’s flora and fauna. Marvel at the breathtaking sunset views of the savannah as the sun dips below the horizon at the Mole Motel poolside, enjoying some chilled drinks.
