A Day in Ayutthaya - Overall, it was quite a pleasant experience. I joined the tour on March 16, 2025. A staff picked me up from my hotel at 7:15 AM. Our guide was William, and I'd like to express my gratitude for his service.
Our diverse international group consisted of English-speaking tourists from the Netherlands, Italy, Mexico, China, the Philippines, the UK, and Denmark, along with a private German-speaking tour for 2 people. We all traveled together in a mini bus.
The atmosphere was friendly throughout the journey. Despite the hot weather outside, the air conditioning in the vehicle was more than adequate. This excursion provided me with a deeper understanding of Ayutthaya.
Worth mentioning is the buffet-style lunch, which I found quite satisfactory (contrary to some reviews claiming "lunch was bad"). The venue resembled a family café with a clean, comfortable environment, and I found the food to be acceptable.
There was a minor incident on our return journey when the vehicle broke down near Chulalongkorn University. Fortunately, the guide directed us to walk to the skytrain at MBK center, from where we all made our way back to our respective hotels.

Fantastic Place to Visit - Wonderful place with a fascinating history- our guide was wonderful and helpful. My only complaint was that the trip was delayed by some passengers being very late to their pick up point. I feel the tour should’ve continued without them

Ayutthaya day trip from Bangkok excellent - being in this ancient city was fascinating. it was an easy ride from Bangkok. Our guide was great. We had a nice comfortable bus and driver and it's good to be in a small group. Pick up from my hotel was on time. Learned a lot about the culture and history of Thailand and had enough free time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to the Bangkok area. It is an excellent value and such an important part of the history. It was one of the major highlights of my week in Bangkok and a great reason to leave the city for a while. The tour was the perfect length of time.

Nice historic tour - Loved walking in history. Tour guide was good but at times repetitive and subjective. The bus driver and the bus were good. Keeping us cool and comfortable while on the bus.

Interesting introduction to history of Siam - Our tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable and gave us an introduction to the history of each site before we explored on our own. We had ample time to wander around these ancient sites and Paul made sure everyone knew where and when to meet when it was time to move on. The tour supplied a couple of bottles of water each during the day and there were umbrellas to borrow at each site which we made use of as it was very hot. The driver did a great job negotiating the traffic and dropped us back to MBT shopping area around 3pm. The only negatives were that we were told the tour start time was 6.30, a taxi was waiting for us in the hotel foyer when we went down at 6.20 and then we were taken to another location 15 minutes away where we had to wait until 7.30 for the rest of the guests to arrive. A 7.30 start meant we got back later than we thought. Also the small group tour had 19 people so the bus was full and despite us arriving before any other guests, we ended up on the back seat as most other seats had already been claimed by the time we were shown to the bus, it was quite uncomfortable with 4 adults across the back row, I presumed we could change seats as the day went on but Paul advised to stay in the same seats all day so we felt awkward to ask someone to swap with us.
