It was a great day. - I went there alone and thanks to my guide, Kono, it was a wonderful experience. He was also a very good English speaker and was keen for hours to explain the area and his favourite tourist attractions, and he would get his body moving and help when needed. Remember to apply sunscreen all over your body, especially if you are white.

It's a good summer memory. - I joined the tour with my family of seven. The children were able to explain it in an easy-to-understand way and had a great time. When we got in the canoe, the weather was bad for a while, so we went up to the beach to rest. At that time, he explained various things about the unique ecosystem of Iriomote Island, and it was a wonderful response, such as actually catching the creatures and showing them to the children. The snorkelers and children were slow and resourceful when they had a temporary panic, and we enjoyed it at the children's pace.

My first trip to Iriomote - Snorkeling and mangrove canoeing were great! It was a shame because the tide was high on Barras Island in time, but the snorkeling at the other spot was amazing, seeing table corals and seeing sea turtles!! The mangrove canoe was guided by Seki-san's team to the back of the mangrove forest, and many photos were taken, including posing instruction. lol It was a very fulfilling time for them to talk with us in a friendly manner! He also told me about the charm of Iriomote Island, and I wanted to come back again! Luckily, we were able to see both turtles and crested eagles, which was a very satisfying activity☺︎ If you come to Iriomote again, I would love to join another tour!

You don't have to have a camera to enjoy it! - Due to high winds in the morning, the tour has been changed from a waterfall tour in Sap to a canoe trip to a mangrove forest. At high tide, we went all the way through the mangrove tracts and got a mystical atmosphere. Although it was a team seki, I was interested in the guide who was fluent enough in English to be constantly communicated with foreign people in the same group. In the afternoon we landed on Barras Island by snorkel. It was the Kaji team. We enjoyed the Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Spring tour and also we were very happy to see Aurora on our last night. We enjoyed the Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Spring tour and also we were very happy to see Aurora on our last night. On the bus back home, the guide told us an interesting story about Iriomote Island, which we really enjoyed. Thank you for a wonderful day.

A day to do absolutely! - I had an absolutely amazing day! In the morning we went snorkelling with Matthew as our guide – the experience was magical. The seabed is beautiful. Having a French guide in Japan is not common, let alone on such a remote island. In the afternoon we followed up with a canoe trip in the mangrove with Kono as guide. He’s super friendly, explains a lot of interesting things and speaks perfect English, which makes the activity accessible and rewarding. Both activities are very well organized, varied and complementary. A full day between sea and jungle, which I really recommend to all those who want to discover the beauty of Iriomote!

Canoe and snorkel experience in Iriomote Island - The family canoeed and snorkeled in Iriomote Island. Nana-san and Aimi-san were in charge, and my daughters in the third and first grade of elementary school were very kind. Both daughters were anxious about canoeing and snorkeling, but thanks to Nana and Aimi, who kindly approached us and watched over us, the children were also very happy to enjoy it! I had a precious experience in canoeing with a tremendous squall. The snorkel was fun for me (my mother) thanks to Aimi seeing the children, thank you. I wanted to experience it again.

Iriomote Island has become my favorite place in Japan! - Morning Kayaking on the Mangrove River, In the afternoon, we participated in snorkeling on Barras Island. The morning guide was Rui-san and the afternoon guide was Yume-san. They were both very good guides, full of the desire to please. Kayaking is that unlike SUP, a narrow tributary of the mangrove river can also enter. I think it was good that parents and children could share the fun because we rode together. It was nice to see them very close on the narrow tributaries, bowing and going through to avoid hitting the mangroves, It was a nice day and the river flowed slowly, so it was relaxing and pleasant. We were able to move along the river. Even I, who usually don't exercise at all, was able to have a very good time without muscle pain. I originally signed up for the Kayak and Barras Island Landing & Yufu Island Water Buffalo Car set course, but because Barras Island cannot land due to warming and tides, the three set tour was cancelled, so I joined the Kayak and Barras Island snorkeling tour. This was actually very good for our snorkelling tour around Barras Island. I happened to come across a sea turtle, and my guide, Yume-san, found a seaweed floating on the sea surface. We had the moment to feed the sea turtles together. I worked for a tour operator on the Great Barrier Reef It takes two hours from Cairns to get out to the Outer Reef to be seen around the pontoon. I was amazed to see the reef and the not-so-changing reef just a short boat ride from Iriomote Island, and I think I was very lucky because I had only seen sea turtles when snorkeling on Lady Elliot Island (unfortunately I had never seen them on GBR). The Outer Reef Tour from Cairns takes a full day from morning to evening and requires strength, but the snorkelling tour from Iriomote Island takes a few hours in the afternoon so it was a great experience even though it was really easy for me. The guide will take your picture and send you both kayaking and snorkel tours, so you can enjoy I was very grateful for this too. The underwater photos of "Yume-san" were especially wonderful. Finally, on the eve of this day, I also participated in the Jungle Night Tour, There, too, the guide went after the coconut crab without bothering He was the kind of person who would show me, and I could even see the palm crabs going out to spawn in the sea. Adventure PiPi, the guides were curious and I felt they were the type of people who loved to please. I would also like to stay in Iriomote Island for a little longer in the near future and participate in a waterfall tour that I was not able to do this time. Thank you for the wonderful trip.

Good for family/beginners - Good communication, it was easy to take the ferry and meet our guide. He was friendly and spoke enough English for us to understand. The snorkeling was organized and good for beginners (we brought our 6 & 9 year old), but everything we saw out in the ocean was the same as when we snorkel in Okinawa off the beach, I was hoping to see something more unique. The mangrove kayaking portion was relaxing and enjoyable, but not particularly interesting…I was hoping to see a waterfall or paddle under a jungle canopy, but it was a wide, shallow muddy river. Iriomote is beautiful, and we plan to visit again, but perhaps we’ll aim for a private tour for a more unique experience next time!

Iriomote mangrove experience - We regret that we were unable to have a snorkeling experience due to the rain, but they were resourceful and consider what they could do at the time and made it a very enjoyable experience!! I want to see when it doesn't rain again and go! But we had the mangrove experience that we wanted the most this time, so it was our first experience, but it was a lot of fun!
