Trip Highlight! - Such an amazing experience! Ryoko (our guide) was incredibly knowledgeable and such a pleasure to be around. The stable and its wrestlers were generous and friendly. And as my Dad would say, they need to open up a restaurant in NY the food was so good!

This was a blast for... - This was a blast for everyone! Our guides Ryoko and Haru were so friendly and kind. They gave us an excellent history lesson on Sumo. The wrestlers were amazing to watch and we even got to step in the ring and try and move them (good luck!) It's a must do on your trip!

I pushed a sumo wrestler and I won...or maybe he just let me win - This was a great snapshot into the life of being a sumo. Our guide, Tomer, was excellent. He gave us a brief history of the sumo while on the train on the way over. Tomer also translated for us what the stablemaster was telling the guys when he was giving constructive criticism during the training as well as explained things that we were watching. This was a definitely and engaging learning experience watching the sumos spar at practice and the intensity with which they gave their all every time. The sumo wrestlers were very nice gentlemen and answered any questions that we asked and were great sports when we tried to wrestle them. They also were willing to take any pictures that we wanted. We almost missed the experience due to train hiccups, but Tomer and the company were so accommodating and bent over backwards to make sure that we didn't miss out on the experience. I would recommend this experience hands down any day.

We had an absolute blast... - We had an absolute blast with this experience. Our guides were spectacular! So friendly and excited to share about the experience. They answered all our questions and shared so much information. The stable was fascinating! I had never seen sumo live, and man! What a tough sport. They were all friendly. We loved the pictures, lunch and interacting with the guys. Highly recommend

Unforgettable Experience with World of Sumo Tour - We had the absolute pleasure of joining the World of Sumo tour with Ryoko and Yassmine, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Japan! Ryoko and Yassmine were not only incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of sumo, but they were also warm, engaging, and full of fascinating stories that brought everything to life. From the moment the tour began, we were immersed in the rich traditions of sumo—getting to visit a real sumo training stable, watch the wrestlers in action, and learn about the customs, rituals, and lifestyle of the rikishi. Ryoko’s insights and Yassmine’s storytelling made everything accessible and captivating, even for those new to the sport. We came away with a deep appreciation for sumo and so many great memories. Exceeded expectations - a fascinating and fun morning learning about Sumo and a hands-on strenth test! - This was an excellent tour, with great information about the Sumo sport. Seeing the Sumo training provided great insight into the strength of these athletes. After their training, all the guests had an opportunity to try and push the Sumos and have photos, the Sumos were really good fun with the lads in our group and kind with the children. The Sumo breakfast stew was interesting too. 100% recommend this tour to see what’s really involved.

Best Japan experience - This is a fantastic experience, not to be missed when visiting Japan. It is so interesting being close to sumo wrestlers and seeing the exertion they have to give in each match. Then, the chance to give it a go (or at least in fun) and appreciate how these guys are so gentle in character, it was a great experience all round. Well worth the expense and the hosts were fantastic too.
