• Mt. Fuji 5th Station - (optional) Situated at 2,400 meters above sea level, the Fujinomiya 5th Station is the highest among the 5th stations. It offers mesmerizing views of Japan’s largest mountain, Mt. Fuji. This is the last point accessible by car. Please be aware of weather conditions, as during the hiking season, access to the 5th station is restricted. Visitors must use a shuttle bus or taxi.

• Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine - The Arakura Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine, also known as the Chureito Pagoda, is a renowned Shinto shrine in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It is famous for its stunning view of Mount Fuji in the background. The shrine and its iconic pagoda provide a picturesque scene that attracts both locals and tourists, especially during the cherry blossom season and autumn foliage.

The Chureito Pagoda, built in 1963 as part of the shrine complex, serves as a vantage point to capture the beauty of Mount Fuji. Visitors must climb 400 steps to reach the pagoda, where they can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the sacred mountain and the surrounding landscape.

The Arakura Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine is not only a place of worship but also a popular spot for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers. It offers a unique perspective of Japan’s most iconic and majestic symbol, Mount Fuji.

• Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a tourist attraction consisting of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako. These ponds are on the site of a former sixth lake that dried up several hundred years ago. The ponds are fed by snowmelt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji, which filters down the mountain through porous lava layers for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water revered by the locals.

Next to one pond, visitors can drink the cool water straight from the source. The ponds are quite deep and feature interesting freshwater plant life and large fish. Although the ponds have been developed into tourist attractions and can become quite crowded, they maintain a pleasant atmosphere as long as visitors do not expect untouched nature.

This cable car takes you up 220 meters to the observation point, offering fantastic views of the lake as you ascend. Whichever method you choose, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views and the perfect shot of Mount Fuji on a clear day.

The Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway (富士山パノラマロープウェイ) ascends 400 meters from the eastern shore of Lake Kawaguchiko to an observation deck near the peak of Mount Tenjo. From the observation deck, which is over 1,000 meters above sea level, there are panoramic views of the lake below and of Mount Fuji.

• Oishi Park - A wonderful park with an amazing view of Mount Fuji. There are plenty of seasonal flowers, but the lavender in mid-June is a crowd favorite. It also features a kind play area.
• Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Kawaguchiko (河口湖) is the most easily accessible of the Fuji Five Lakes, with train and direct bus connections to Tokyo. A hot spring resort town with various tourist attractions and views of Mount Fuji is located around the lake’s eastern end, while the northern and western shores are mostly undeveloped.

The best views of Mount Fuji can be enjoyed from the lake’s northern shores and are particularly breathtaking during the cherry blossom season around mid-April and the autumn colors around the first half of November. One of the nicest spots for cherry blossoms is the seaside promenade near the Kawaguchiko Music Forest, while photographers will enjoy the “Momiji Tunnel” for autumn colors, a maple tree-covered road section along the lake’s northern shore.

• Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is a prominent Shinto shrine located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. This shrine is known for its historical significance and its association with Mount Fuji, which is considered a sacred mountain in Japanese culture. Many pilgrims and visitors start their journey to climb Mount Fuji from this shrine.

It’s a place where people often come to pray for a safe and successful ascent of Mount Fuji. Additionally, the shrine hosts various festivals and ceremonies throughout the year, making it a cultural and spiritual hub in the region.
