• KIMONO TEA CEREMONY MAIKOYA TOKYO - Experience our acclaimed tea ceremony in Tokyo, which combines cultural enjoyment with educational value. Led by an expert tea master and welcoming staff, participants will observe each step and learn the significance of the tools, movements, and traditions of this ancient ritual. Gain insights into the history of the tea ceremony, Japanese culture, and proper tea etiquette.

Participants will then have the opportunity to prepare their own bowl of matcha, skillfully whisked under the guidance of the tea master. This interactive experience allows participants to embrace the tranquility, concentration, and hospitality central to Japanese tea culture.

A variety of exquisite kimonos is available, and our staff will assist with dressing to ensure a polished appearance. Wearing a kimono adds to the authenticity of the tea ceremony experience.

Please be aware that children under 6 are not allowed. If your group includes a child under 6, we kindly request that you do not book this activity.

Tripods are not permitted during the ceremony. Photo and video recording may be restricted—please adhere to the tea master’s guidance regarding appropriate timing and etiquette.
