We liked him so much, we asked if he could accompany our family everywhere on our two week vacation to Japan. - We had an amazing experience touring Asakusa with Ryo! Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about the area and its history, but he's also a talented comedian who kept us laughing the whole time. Ryo was very patient, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and even took time to snap photos with us. His friendly and engaging personality made the tour feel personal and memorable. We highly recommend booking a tour with Ryo—he truly made our visit to Asakusa special!

Cherry blossoms and an intro to religion in Japan - This was a very first tour we went on in Japan, and we had severe jet lag from arriving the day before. Our guide,Ryo, was personable and considerate. He knows a lot about culture and religion, and helped us understand Japan a lot better. He also helped us navigate the crowds around Sensoji in Asakusa, and he did a great job of explaining the history of the temple and its meanings. The two hours we spent with him flew by as we walked around the area and got an introduction to cherry blossoms, renting, kimonos, and the meaning of Buddhism and Shinto.

I had a wonderful time... - I had a wonderful time learning about Asakusa on a morning walk with Ryo. We were able to start at 8am to beat the crowds, and the crowds definitely showed up at 9am. The markets open at 10 so if you want to see all the buzz, go later, but if you prefer a quieter walk, recommend the earlier start time. I did not have breakfast so Ryo showed me some delicious Japanese food stalls where I purchased sweet potato rolls and other local street foods. He knows where the best spots are so don't hesitate to ask!
