Fall in love with the varied and unique beauty of Morocco’s valleys, mountains, countryside, and desert on this full-day guided excursion from Marrakech. After pickup at around 9:00 AM, head to the Atlas Mountains, passing through a small village where you can visit a traditional Berber Weekley souk (market in Saturday or Tuesday)
- Moulay Brahim - then to Moulay Brahim valley where you will try the experience of camel Ride
- Imlil - Arrive in Imlil and take a trek by foot or by Mule to Armed, the highest and largest village in Imlil Valley. Your journey will take you past waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa, and Imoula. Stop off in Tamatert to take in views of ancient irrigated fields of barley, corn, and vegetables, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees. Your guide will point out interesting sites and tell you about Berber culture and heritage along the way.
- Tamatert - Come back down through the village of Ait Souka, where you’ll meet a Berber family and enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal as a guest in their home. Head next to Kik Plateau, at 1,800 meters altitude, offering spectacular 360-degree views, and in spring, a marvelous spread of alpine flowers.
- Plateau du Kik - Arrive at the edge of Lalla Takerkoust Lake, whose dam supplies Marrakesh with all its energy. Take a tea break and admire the views out over the lake
- Agafay - Finally, drive to Agafay Desert and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. Pass through stone desert, barren light brown plateaus, Bedouin villages, oases, and high hills with panoramic views to High Atlas. If the timing is right, enjoy views of the sunset from up high before returning to Marrakech.

Atlas Mountains Great Tour - Atlas Mountains - Great tour
We had a lovely day on this tour. Ismail was a great guide, very friendly and helpful. We began by taking a camel ride in the Agafay Desert, then we went to an Argan oil cooperative where we had a taste of the products they sell. After this we toured the mountains and had lunch at the family house of Ismail. It was really interesting to meet the family and cats. Plus the view and food were amazing. We then took a hike to a waterfall which was very pretty. The hike it should be noted is not great if you have trouble walking.
There are little hills and rocks. After this it was back to Marrakech. A very insightful tour and we learned a lot about the Atlas Mountains, Berbers and Morocco.

A beautiful full and authentic day - A beautiful day full and authentic that will give you a good overview of the region. Van air conditioned and comfortable. Ismael is nice, the meal was delicious and hearty

Genuine, authentic and beyond high expectations - We've done a few well reviewed tours from Viator and similar, and this is definitely one of the best. Our guide, Ismail, was fantastic, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Our group was small (7 people) and we were in a very comfortable air conditioned minibus. The places we visited were, in comparison to some tours we have done, comparatively less like classic tourist traps!
The camel ride was lovely and surprisingly comfortable, learning about argan oil production was fascinating and visiting a very real, unsanitised, souk was a sensory experience I will remember for a long time to come. And as a particular highlight, Ismail showed us to his own family home for lunch, who I suspect gave us a much more authentic meal than many higher end restaurants would have.

The best excursion in Marrakech ! Ismail and his team are wonderful ❤️ - The excursion was incredible. From start to finish we were so well taken care of. Ismail is beyond knowledgable and his genuine and kind enthusiasm made the excursion one of the best I have been on with my family. Hands down the best food for lunch and it was an honour to be hosted by Ismail’s family to have the most wonderful home cooked tagine and couscous.
They also catered for multiple dietary requirements including vegetarian, gluten free etc.
the whole day was meticulously planned to ensure that we as travellers were able to make the most of the Atlas Mountains and get the real authentic taste of Berber life.
It was sobering to see the damage from the earthquake but the spirit and humanity of the people we met shone through. We loved stopping on the mountain to buy freshly picked cherries. Hands down the best cherries I have had in my life.
I also loved going for the Berber breakfast and seeing the argan oil being made. I would highly recommend purchasing as you will not get better purity as well as supporting an all female cooperative.
All in all it was an amazing trip and I cannot recommend it enough.

Outstanding… a must do trip! - The trip today with Ismail was outstanding! From the moment of pick up through to drop off, we had an incredibly well paced day for all ages. With well planned stops to get those special photos through to thoughtful ventures into places you wouldn’t necessarily think to go yourself… every detail was well considered and thought out. We loved each moment and have many photos of memories to treasure, and will keep a particularly fond memory of the delicious lunch cooked by Ismail’s aunt! Thank you Ismail for helping to make our first venture to Marrakesh a spectacular one!!!

Best trip by far - Absolutely fabulous trip . So much crammed in but not rushed . Ismail the guide was excellent . Hi was knowledgable , friendly fun and helpful . The lunch we had was the best tagine I have tasted and the cous cous and bread were equally lovely . Can’t recommend this trip highly enough.

Exceptional! - We were able to discover beautiful landscapes with Ismael, a very good guide who speaks very good French and explains many things to us. We also had a very good driver!
Every step was incredible. The meal was delicious and served in an amazing place!
We leave with lots of memories in mind and highly recommend this activity!
