Great day trip! - The tour was great! We we able to take horses up to the top of the volcano and learn about Filipino culture as well as enjoy some fresh coconut juice. Afterwards, they took us to Josephine restaurant for lunch. Very safe tour; highly recommend!

Great experience! - What a great day! We started early to avoid traffic, and also had a much less crowded visit at the volcano as we arrived earlier than most visitors. The heat was also not so bad earlier in the day. The hike is a bit strenuous but I enjoyed it tremendously. Our guide at the volcano was knowledgeable and approachable, and answered all our questions readily. I felt safe and in good hands! I also had options to stop at various places after the hike, such as for lunch, to see a few more things, or to shop a bit, and I appreciated this flexibility. I wish I had taken more cash for Buko pies! The volcano itself is the most incredible site, I'm infinitely glad I made this trip and would recommend this tour company happily!

Amazing volcano - It was amazing, really well organized, the driver was very nice and explained us a lot of things about the trip and the country in general. The volcano is really beautiful - you can find a lake in the lake there. worth it.

Taal was amazing! - Absolutely loved it - especially when we got to the top - breath taking views of the sulfur lake & crater. We also saw some steaming, small active volcanoes!!! We enjoyed a refreshing coconut drink at the Paradise restaurant at the top! I'd advise you take a horse up unless you are super fit. The trek is very steep, and coupled with the humidity, can be quite challenging. Jobelle, our guide, was super friendly, and so knowledgeable! A must do! Driver was on time picking us up from Crimson Hotel at 540am - very courteous and drove us safely from the hotel and back. My daughter bonded with her horse, Patricia, and titled her MVP of the day! Thanks for a wonderful visit!

Richard, the driver, treated us magnificently and everything was arranged perfectly. Enough water was also provided to keep us guests re-hydrated. Would recommend this trip to everyone who wants a break from the hectic Metro-Manila.

Absolutely amazing - I remember the year October 2017 when I visited Tagaytay. I think it is around 3 hours estimated from Manila to Tagaytay and the weather there is so cold. I have to say that it was absolutely amazing. Tagaytay tourists love to admire Taal Volcano from the highlands, from him (originally Php 1,500) that includes a round trip boat ride. Hope to visit it again and vsit the beautiful places in Tagaytay.

Mom & 2 Fil-Am girlz (13 & 15) - Driver was lovely. He worked hard. I was the only one who tipped him, despite being the first and last pickup. Because of this, we spent additional hours in a tour can that would not have been necessary had each hotel has their own pickup with a central Makati location. Traffick was terrible. It rained all the way home. Why pick up Pasig tourists when we live in the Luneta Park area. The heavy traffick and rain caused an additional two hours drive from the other tourists hotel. Still we tipped our driver 500 Philippine pesos. It wasn't his fault....but the inconvenience soured our tour which had been lovely until that point. Could not the driver had made a decision to meet at a more central Central point and drive us three home? Yes, Viator and all the local providers could have made that 21st century call. We were the larger party too. And, guessing the others didn't use Viator the 5 times this week we did?

Our tour guide got into a car accident... -
Our tour guide got into a car accident taking us back to the hotel and never took us to the palace in the sky...

This tour started out ok. When we arrived at Tagaytay our tour guide told us that the price for 2 horses to take us up the volcano would be 1000 peso. He said that he would pay it and then we would give it back to him at the end of the trip. We visited the volcano but was never offered an opportunity to rent banana boats or kayaks. We eventually made it to Josephine restaurant. The traffic was heavy and the wait time at the restaurant was rather long. Once seated, it took them an additional hour just to bring the food out and they forgot our appetizer and attempted to bring it after we had already eaten our meal. We left the restaurant at about 3:30. The tour guide then proceeded to take us back to the hotel. On the way he got into a car accident. So we ended up sitting in the middle of traffic for about 30 minutes waiting on a police officer to show up. Then once the police officer arrived, they wanted our guide to come to the police station to fill out some paper work. So we ended up sitting in the car for an additional hour and a half at the police station. Then the tour guide took us back to our hotel. As a courtesy, the tour guide told us that we didn't have to pay him for the horses. I still tipped him 300 peso. I was nice about everything until I realized that we never made it to the palace in the sky. I called him when I realized and he never offered to take us the next day or do anything to resolve the issue. His response was that the Palace in the sky was 2 hours away from Josephine restaurant. He said that the palace in the sky would have been closed by the time we arrived. I checked the distance before I called him and our GPS said that it was 8 minutes away from the resteraunt. To be honest there was very heavy traffic that day, however even if we would have stopped there for only 15 minutes, I would have been happy. Considering the we left the restaurant at about 3:30, that was more than possible. We also didn't do any additional touring of Tagaytay other than going to the restaurant. I contacted Viator and Trip Advisor for a refund. Viator contacted our tour guide and his response included an email that said the Palace in the Sky was not part of our package. The description clearly says that it is part of the package. When I called Viator they even agreed that it was part of the package. However, he was allowed to deny the refund. I was requesting a full refund considering that we got into a car accident, had to sit at the police station, missed parts of our tour and had to go through the trouble of addressing this issue and paying for phone calls to do so while on vacation. As a courtesy Viator refunded me 50. Trip advisor basically said that they can't address the issue because this tour is fulfilled by Viator and I would have to go through them. I would like to think that any tour guide would at least know what is included in the package at the very least. How could he possible give us what we paid for if he doesn't even know what is included? I felt like this was very poor customer service from Esquieres Travel and Tours.
