Nice half day trip from Budapest - I really enjoyed hearing the history of the area and seeing both the town and castle. Richard is very knowledgeable and even helped me find a gift.

Great experience - Trip was very nice. Enjoyed the ride and the chance to see life outside the city. Our guide Peter was very nice and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about life in his country. Would highly recommend this personal tour.

Informative tour worth your time - This is a great tour for an overview of local history. Our guide, Richard, was knowledgeable about the locations and Hungarian history. He is a very safe driver and great conversationalist. Szentendre had an interesting history. The views from Visegrad Castle are stunning, much more so than the castle. Definitely recommend!

A great way to spend a half day away from the crowds in Budapest. - Great private tour with Richard. The weather was perfect and Szentendre is a cute village town with an interesting history. There are some nice shops to look at too. Visegrad Castle has incredible views atop the castle and, again, the history is interesting. Our guide dropped us off at the National Memorial District, that saved us a hike up in the middle of the day. Richard also recommended a great place to have lunch at Ramazuri Cafe, which was fabulous.

Take a nice scenic drive into the country and relax in a city out of Italy, climb a castle and dine like a peasant - Szentendre is a hidden gem about an hour outside Budapest. This small artist town looks like it should belong in Italy. Small squares, fountains, beautiful pastry cafe and gelato store. Local artisan’s selling from their shops. We saw items here that we hadn’t seen in Budapest. We then drove about 15 minutes to Visegrád Castle and climbed a lot of stairs to a great view of the river valley below the Castle. This Castle was the site of a major peace treaty which is celebrated every August to this day. Peter our guide then took us to a restaurant on the river, where the locals eat and the Hungarian Goulash is served in a steel pot with a flame underneath to keep it nice and hot and a loaf of bread. The food was very reasonably priced and very good.

Fantastic relaxed excursion outside Budapest! - Perfect trip for 6 of us including in-laws with very limited walking ability. Beautiful drive and little town. Arrived early before heat and crowds. Enjoyed brief tour and outdoor Café conversation time. Richard adjusted the trip perfectly. Danube bend overlook was spectacular without even going all the way to the castle ruins. Then he took us to a fabulous restaurant for lunch right near our River Cruise embarkation point. Exceeded our expectations! Thanks, Richard!

Szentendre & Visegrad Tour - We had a great tour with Richard who was very knowledgeable, guided us around and then gave us time to look around on our own . We would definately recommend this tour.

Nice tour outside of town - Tibor was a great guide, he shared many stories about his country and the area. He also gave us plenty of time to explore on our own.

Szentendre villlage! - Peter was a good and patient guide! He was able to adapt based on what our wishes were. He was very cognizant of our elderly mother and her comfort and mobility. He communicated well with pictures so we could identify him upon pick up. Loved the restaurant he took us to for lunch! Great tour!

Too rush to cover 2 places in half day - It was too rush to do any shopping or eating at Szentendre. The Visegrad castle 30 mins self tour also seem rush. I would recommend to cover Szentendre only for half day tour to fully enjoy a relaxing trip.
