During the walk, uncover curiosities, typical ingredients, local traditions, and little secrets of Sicilian cuisine, with tasting moments and stories related to the daily life of the Point of Sale.

Following this, from 10:00 to 13:00, proceed to Teresa’s house, a welcoming villa in Arenella, where the most engaging part of the experience begins: the cooking lesson. Here, participants will cook traditional Sicilian recipes together in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, using fresh and seasonal ingredients. This will not only be a cooking class but an authentic moment to share, with hands in the dough, home aromas, genuine flavors, and ancient recipes.

Teresa Zimmitti warmly invites you to dive into a genuine Sicilian culinary and cultural adventure! This experience unfolds in two segments. Meeting point: Join Teresa at 8:45 am at the Ortigia Point of Sale (Burgio Salumeria), conveniently located near the port. Ortigia Point of Sale Tour (8:45 - 9:45) Delight in a charming stroll through the lively Point of Sale, engage in food shopping, explore local flavors, learn basic Mediterranean recipes, and savor Sicilian specialties while gaining insights into fresh and preserved foods. A short 15-minute drive will take you to the Villa in the Arenella bathing area, where the lesson begins around 10:15 am. Transport is available for an additional €20 per person. At Teresa’s Villa, you will be guided in preparing traditional and family recipes, utilizing some of the fresh ingredients selected at the Point of Sale. The lesson lasts two hours, after which you can enjoy your time. At the conclusion of the experience, you will receive a small and thoughtful gift to take home.
