- Cape Breton Island - During this tour you will enjoy a 40min drive to and From Sydney and Louisbourg as you do your guide will keep you informed with many stories about the island, and explain the history, present and future plans for the island. The excellent guides will explain how life was like in the 1700s and the many battles that took place here between the French and the English. The Fortress also provides great ocean views and the included trip to the lighthouse will showcase the rugged coastal scenery as you look out to the Atlantic Ocean. The Mira River is and large river that makes its way through cottage country and offers a very tranquil and peaceful scenic viewpoint as you make your way back towards Sydney.

Fun morning - We had a wonderful Time With JD as tour guide along with Harmohit and Karan we visited the forteress lighthouse and Louisbour and Many scenic scène. JD explained about Sydney and gave us many information about indeginous culture.
They were great !

Excellent experience - We enjoyed our tour and found JD to be an excellent guide. He was waiting for us at the start time and delivered us back to port in plenty of time for all aboard. We had ample time to visit the lighthouse and Fort Louisbourg. JD took time to show us other sites in Sydney on the drive. Would highly recommend!

Amazing Tour - We loved our excursion to the fort and the lighthouse. Our driver Harmohit was so polite and informative. We enjoyed visiting with him and appreciated him going to the fort with us. This tour is so amazing and all the people at the fort were great. Would strongly suggest this tour.

Great day in the sunshine on Cape Breton Island - Ari was a fantastic tour guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. He even found me a Dr Pepper Zero. Amazing! The lighthouse was brilliant. Fortress Louisbourg was even larger and more impressive than I had hoped. You could spend three days there. This tour was a great find.

Outstanding excursion - The tour guide Jaspreet was excellent and stopped regularly for photo opportunities. Good history knowledge. The fortress was excellent and you can easily spend all day there.

Amazing Experience at the fortress - We had a wonderful experience. Arvinder Lottay was perfect- knowledgeable about the area and managed time perfectly. Highly recommend this tour and this tour guide. The fortress was amazing and exceeded expectations.

Good. - Our driver "Sam" was very nice and polite. Enjoyed visiting the fortress and lighthouse. My only complaint is that another party had booked the tour (they were not with us) and we waited at least 35 minutes for them and they did not show up. The only nice part of this was we were the only two people on this tour but it cut our time short for the tour and getting us back in time to board our ship.

So So.. - The Louisbourg village was a nice experience. Mira Lighthouse closed due to renovation in progress. The driver was nice, but only drove to and fro - no tour guide provided. Van 3rd seat row was extremely uncomfortable; like metal pipes on your seat and back.

Taxi Ride to Visit the Fortress at Louisbourg - The Fortress of Louisbourg was really worthwhile to visit This tour is basically a semi-private taxi cab booking which takes you to the Fortress and back to Sydney. He allowed us to have 2.5 hours free time in the Fortress which was very nice. The driver was not really trained as a tour guide and so he had little to say during the entire trip. Once we got into the Fortress, there were people who dressed up as residents and could give you information about the sites and their "roles" in the fortress/town life.
The other part of disappointment came from the itinerary: the title of the tour included Mira which the driver never mentioned or intended to take us. He only mentioned that the road to the Louisbourg lighthouse was closed so that we could not go there. On the way back to Sydney, the driver did try to spend a few minutes telling us about the town. But he was not trained as a tour guide and we can hardly hear or understand him well from the back seats.
