Sydney Opera_La Boheme - World class experience at Sydney Opera House; however, we did not understand a word of the opera in Italian/Latin language. About half time, we saw some small screens that showed the English translation, but the small screens were too far away to properly read

Spectacular entertainment - La Boheme was extraordinary. The orchestra were brilliant, the music so evocative, the cast so brilliant and committed to their art. The night was exhilarating in the most beautiful location in Sydney. Walking out of this glorious building and looking back to the lit city skyline brings a lump to the throat.

Do not let this glorious art form die! - This was a splendid performance! The singing, the individual performances, the set and the 1930s setting were all magnificent. Live theatre, in all its formats must be sustained. The unique experience of watching and listening to live opera is without parallel. Thank you for crafting such a wonderful evening's entertainment for my wife and me.

An experience to remember! - Enjoyed this 1930s staging of La Boheme at the iconic Sydney Opera House. Seats in the Circle area were high up but able to see everything. Translation screen easily visible, though some reviews of lower area seats indicate more difficult to view during the performance. Checked this one off the bucket list!

An absolute ‘MUST SEE’! - During my five week sojourn in this wonderful city I have been privileged to go to musical events no less than six times - including the NYE Gala Concert followed by fireworks. But still the event I will remember for the rest of my life will be the production of ‘La Boheme’ I saw last night. I have seen it before several times and hope to see it again yet many more times? Regardless, last night’s performance will remain the definitive, most glittering experience!

The costumes were well done. - The singing was exceptional, but the location of the subtitles screen was completely unacceptable and detracted from the entire experience. To read them required looking almost straight overhead, and we were sitting in row N. I heard other attendees making the same remark. I don't feel that I got my money's worth ($354) for a pair of tickets.

PATHETIC - Opera Australia Management cancelled their NYE 24 hours prior with clearly insufficient reason. The new CEO hit the airwaves to say 'poor me' instead of attending to their loyal customers!! They cancelled at 5pm the previous day! They DIDN'T say what that the 'Midnight Fireworks Party was cancelled! Their phones were not manned! So, after paying a LOT of Money to secure NYE months ago, we were totally up in the air. Thank you CEO Fiona Allen. At 10am on New Years Eve I managed to get on to the helpful Box Office. YES! the Midnight party is also cancelled! But Fiona was blathering on on air trying to gain sympathy instead of making sure members were looked after, so we didn't know!! And we still don't have a reason for the expensive Midnight Party to be also cancelled. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. FIONA, WHY SHOULDN'T YOU RESIGN?
