Jökulsárlón - THE TOUR
Begin your adventure by meeting your guide and boarding one of Iceland’s largest custom-made super jeeps! The journey starts from Glacier Lagoon, with a 40-minute drive towards Breiðamerkurjökull, a glacial tongue extending from Vatnajökull. During the drive, your guide will share intriguing insights about the formation of ice caves, glaciers, volcanoes, and the local culture.
The caves visited are entirely natural, continuously forming and evolving with the seasons and weather conditions. Therefore, the cave explored will depend on the conditions on the day of the tour. Participants may find themselves at the glacier’s edge or may need to hike a short distance (500-700m) on the glacier to reach the cave. The walking distance on the tour varies between 1-4 km, so all participants should be in good health and comfortable with walking.
Before entering the cave, the guide will provide a safety briefing and equip participants with helmets and crampons/micro spikes if necessary. Each tour is unique due to the ever-changing nature of the glaciers and caves. Participants will witness a variety of stunning ice formations and colors, ranging from brilliant blue to emerald green and even striking black ice.

Amazing ice cave - We had an amazing experience, getting to experience the wonder of the ice cave, with natural light filtering through with different colors of blue, this plus the short walk across the glacier and learning about the constantly changing scenery was truly a unique experience

Amazing - Amazing experience from start to finish. Guide Tomas was excellent. We had the early start so got to see the sunrise and also one of the first groups on the glazier and in the cave. Due to ever changing conditions, your very own unique experience. A real must for your trip to Iceland followed by diamond beach! Well worth the long drive from the capital. Great work Ice Explorers!!

10/10 don’t miss - Absolutely incredible- best glacier tour I’ve ever been on…and I’ve been on several! Holt and Jesse were funny and informative guides with unlimited knowledge of the glacier and Iceland! They ensured our safety throughout the cave and glacier climb and times it so that our small group didn’t have to wait or feel crowded. Furthermore they were incredible photographers! 10/10 don’t miss

Wonderful Ice Caving Activity - Despite the terrible weather, we had so much fun on this ice caving trip. Considering this is the first time experience for us in doing such activities, everything went so smoothly. Our guide Tasha (hope I wrote the name correctly) was very knowledgeable and helpful. From the ride to the ice cave with the monster truck, helping the participants ready, to explaining every little bit of the experience was top notch. My 9 years old boy enjoyed it very much.

FANTASTIC TOUR COMPANY - Fantastic tour! We did the 3-4 hour Ice Cave tour starting at 8:30am, our guide Ania helped us move quickly into the cave and built in photography stops, ensuring that each group got several fun pictures in each spot. Because we started the tour at 8:30am, and Ania got us out of the parking lot as soon as she could we beat most of the crowds into the cave. The cave itself was gorgeous, and I attribute our great experience to Ice Explorers.

One of the best tours, Ever! All went smoothly and in the best possible way. - Iga from Ice Explorers was such a nice guide. She took all the time available to create a safe, veautiful and peaceful Ice Cave visiting experience for the whole group. Ont of the most amazing tours I've ever been on. Thanks again! Incredible Adventure! - What a fabulous experience - from the super jeep ride, to the glacier walk to exploring the ice caves it was a truly memorable afternoon. Tomi was our fantastic guide who cheered everyone along, told us about the glaciers and ice caves and made the experience even more memorable - we all laughed and giggled our way around! And rather than blowing out a candle for my birthday... I blowed the ice out of an ice peg!! The ice caves were incredible - and seeing the formations up close and all the blue was amazing. I can't believe i've walked on a glacier and been inside one!! An adventure i'd highly recommend if you're ever in Iceland! Thanks for an epic experience.
