Fantastic Glacier Walk experience - With an Intrepid tour that did the Glacier walk this afternoon with guide Michael. We were all knocked out by the landscape & the experience overall. Going down into the ice cave was a unique experience. Michael the guide was a true professional & he enhanced the experience for us. It’s a must do. A once in a lifetime experience.

Stunning Ice Cave - We enjoyed the hike. Our group were 8 people and there was another family of 4, so we were a small group of 12 total. It is not too long to walk because some time is spent in the vehicle to get close to the glacier. We walked on the glacier and were pleased to find an ice cave which we explored. It was beautiful! Michael did a good job explaining and answering our questions, and gave us tips on how to get good pictures in the cave.

Amazing ice world - Stunning scenery and fabulous experience. The tour takes your some calories, takes your some time, and takes you to somewhere you have never imagined on the earth. The ice is so natural and non-changeable. The ice is so crystal clear. You feel you can see through it, actually you cannot see through its thickness, accumulated and compressed by snow and snow, years and years. The ice and volcanic ashes are piled up layer by layer. Welcome to this world of ice and fire. Freezing cold. Full of physical challenges. But NEVER forgetable. Thank you, Pavel, our tour guide.

Worth trying - It was more fun than I expected! We met the guide and were driven about 40 min out to the glacier. It was in September so the ice was black and white. The guide said it’s more blue in the winter. Everything needed to do the walk was provided upon arrival. Several notable spots were shown along with a walk through a small ice cave. The highlight of the tour was being able to drink fresh glacier water! It’s a worthwhile experience while the glaciers are still there. It was interesting to learn about the glacier and how it has changed over the years. We definitely could not have made it out there ourselves.

Should rename to Glacier hike! - Very cool experience but was a lot more physical than we thought it was going to be, definitely not just a walk, more like a glacier hike! Our guide was great and our group was small (only 6) so we got more personal time than larger groups would have had. I would recommend wearing some extra thick socks or something, because both me and my partner got terrible blisters on our heels afterwards. Hiking uphill in those crampons are no joke!

Do not contract with them, they are not responsible if you fall on the glacier and hurt yourself (fractured hand) - Hi, a week ago I was on the glacier with this company, I fell and fractured a hand (radio). I have no complaint from the Laura Guide who was very attentive at all times, but I do have complaint from the company because they should have at the meeting point where are all the companies that make visits to the glacier a first aid point. The nearest hospital is a six hour walk away and the doctor I had about 70 kilometers away, he who did not want to attend me because he was going to arrive half an hour after the close of his consultation, depressing the Icelandic medical service and that of the company that was rushing Laura to pick up my colleagues and could not arrange for me to see a doctor. By the way, they do not have health insurance for the people who contract with them for the excursions.
