Doi Intanon National Park, a bountiful reservoir of natural beauty, is positioned south of Chiang Mai in Thailand. The refreshing mountain breeze and the crisp, cool weather provide a revitalizing escape from urban life. Standing at 8514 feet above sea level, Doi Intanon, Thailand’s tallest peak, is perhaps the most well-preserved National Parks in the country. It is particularly famous among bird enthusiasts, with a reported spotting of more than 383 species.
The journey includes stops at: Wat Phrathad Chom Thong, home to sacred relics and age-old treasures, Wachiratharn Waterfall, the dual chedis erected by the Thai Airforce in tribute to King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit, and the summit that houses the shrine of Chao Inthawitchayanon, Chiang Mai’s former prince. A brief hike on Michael’s Trail promises a magnificent and memorable experience. A picnic-style lunch is provided during this tour.
