Learn to surf at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast in Queensland, one of Australia’s most iconic surf destinations. With its warm waters and golden beach that streches for 1.9 miles (3 km), Surfers Paradise is the place to learn to surf. You’ll learn to surf in waist deep water with fully qualified surf instructors who are also surf life savers. Soft beginner surf board and rash vests or wetsuit are included.

Fun and friendly instruction - a fab experience! - So happy I booked this experience - it was so much fun! I was pretty nervous to get in the water as it was pretty rough but our instructor Cal really put me at ease and helped me to feel confident in the water. The instructions and practice before getting in the water was really helpful, especially for beginners like me. We also had plenty of time to practice in the water too which was great.

10/10 would recommend! - Awesome experience! Lots of time in the water and instructor Cal was really helpful and friendly. Totally would recommend to anyone who wants to try surfing. Really good value for money. 10/10 would recommend!

A must-do activity in the Gold Coast! - Absolutely amazing! The instructors were incredible and made my first time surfing such a joy! Wow, what a day! I felt safe, supported and like a kid all over again. As an absolute beginner, I didn’t know what to expect but with the help of the fabulous instructors I was able to catch some waves and even stood up a few times! Highly, highly recommend - a true 10/10 experience!

Brilliant experience! - Amazing experience! First ever time trying to surf, was nervous to begin with but the way the class is structured and how supportive and helpful the instructors, you really don't need to worry and just give it a go! Highly recommend and really pleased with myself that I tried, although I didn't manage to stand, I still had a great time trying! Definitely want to try again :) Thank you Go Ride A Wave for ticking off a bucket list dream for me today

12/10 experience! - We were a group of 10 people and had 3 absolutely amazing instructors (Jason, Kiara and one last guy who’s name I unfortunately forgot)! The basics were explained clearly and precisely on the beach first, so we knew what we were doing out in the waves. That made it really nice and easy to learn. In addition, the 3 instructors were great at helping both in the water and on land. I managed to stand up several times! All in all, a 12/10 experience. I already feel much better after just 2 hours. I can definitely recommend “Go Ride a Wave”!🤩
