Excellent - Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and showed us the Byron Bay lighthouse and there was ample time to explore the town and beach area. Superb. I definitely would recommend.

Great Bus Trip - Picked up at Novotel and embarked on a day tour to Byron Bay. The driver should be on MasterMind or similar show as his knowledge on just about everything was extensive and all the information he had on the areas driving down to Byron was invaluable, definitely a one in a million tour guide. Stopped off at Lighthouse to get some great views and then dropped off at Central Byron to explore and the driver came back in the afternoon to collect us. What a great day and a highly recommended day to book in with this bus company.

The sky is blue and the water is clear and multicoloured Byron Bay! - The sky is blue and the water is clear and multi-coloured, and the walkways can see different beaches along the way, which is great! But unfortunately climbing the tower requires an advance appointment for this we don't know, come back next time.

Efficient way to get to Byron Bay from Surfers Paradise without renting a car - The tour is essentially group travel to the lighthouse and then the town of Byron Bay. A driver picks you up and drops off at the end of the day at the agreed place. The operator sent several reminders about the pick up location and time in the days before the tour. It is self guided once you are at the destinations, with a clearly communicated meet back time and place. This is exactly what we were expecting after reading the tour description and reviews. My only criticism is that the suspension or shocks on the vehicle weren’t in good shape causing the van to fishtail a bit and it seemed hard to control at high speeds. I asked the driver to slow down and he did but the this was a concern to me.

Anywhere but the lighthouse toilets ! - Nice place, nice beach and stunning Lighthouse. The small cafe at the lighthouse prepares simple but delicious meals. We tried the egg and bacon roll which was well prepared and delicious. The service is equally great and friendly. Just DON’T use the public toilets (located under the cafe) which are totally filthy, smell terrible, disgusting and an absolute disgrace for the site. I have NEVER EVER seen such a repulsive place anywhere in Australia ! This is simply outrageous !!! 🤮🤮

lighthouse and the pathway walk to the rock below awesome - we took the tour from the gold coast .there were only 4 people in the group us and 2 people from japan.neither spoke the others language but the driver conducted a description of what we were to see and the accompanying landscape.the only words were fully understood were byron bay.i really can not fault the driver as we had problems with accents our entire trip.as we have aged our ability to discern accents has decreased.our first stop was the lighthouse .it was a short walk from the parking area to the lighthouse.the driver took our picture and i took some of the views down to the rock.i decided to take the steps down to the rocks below and to a surfing beach which the driver said was there .since i had time i start the walk.what one should realize the a walk down means a walk up steps going down were a lot more difficult coming up.i stop to take pictures and slowly made my was down,so far so good .the tow japanese girls in our group briskly walked by down to the rocks below.i made it as far as i could and i realized i would not make kit down to the rock formation below.i did get a picture of the surfers and one of the girls on the rock formation.oh ot have young legs.i started back but it was a struggle and i was drained .i told the driver guide that there was no was the girls would be back in time.i barely finished my words when they hopped into the van barely winded .next stop the town.i consisted of 3 up streets and 3 cross streets with shop and restaurants lining both sides of the street .the walk start in a drizzle but it turned into a bright sunny day.we had 3 hours to eat and shop.when we were younger 3 hours would only allow us to cover one block but we had no difficulty covering the entire town.the entire had no traffic lights nor did i see crashed cars.hard to believe.we walked to the park and beach and enjoyed the view.my wallet was happy that we did not come to the town 30 years ago as they really had some wonderful shop.we only had lunch and a pastry .this little town was beautiful and worth the one hour ride from the gold coast

Byron Bay was lovely but driver didn't speak and was driving erratically - When the driver met us he asked us if we were going on the Byron Bay tour - we thought we was on the tour! He didn't introduce himself, or even say anything on the journey. And his driving on the way back was alarming, he kept swerving and lurching the van (it was a windy day but even so, he shouldn't have been driving like that). Someone had to ask Steve (the driver) to slow down, because of his erratic driving. The only reason I'm giving this tour 2 stars is for Byron Bay. It really is breathtaking and I can recommend it to everyone (but sadly not with this tour). Definitely go to Byron Bay but get the shuttle, public transport or hire a car.
