A highlight of our time in Japan - I highly recommend doing this tour while in Tokyo. As Americans who didn't know anything about Sumo wrestling, my husband and I learned so much about the sport and culture through this tour. We felt so privileged to spend 1.5 hours in the Sumo stable with a firsthand view of their practice. Our guide, Hina, was so passionate and knowledgeable about the sport and welcomed any and all questions. It was truly a highlight of our trip.

Amazing! Thank you Kenji - Kenji was our tour guy! He was great and the experience phenomenal! We were able to see sumo training for more than 2 hours; we took pictures with them and we had after a good explanation of sumo and visit the tournament stadium which is happening in Tokyo this year!

Great tour. In October there aren't any tournaments, so check your travel dates if you are looking forward to attending a tourna - First time in Japan, my husband and I decided to take this tour to not be wandering around and go get the most accurate knowledge about this practice. The tour with Kenji was really nice. The morning practice didn't last as long as we expected, however as Kenji explained this was up to the master and we still got to see this interesting and amazing sumo practice. Kenji was welcoming and most importantly knowledgeable about sumo. Would recommend.

Sumo sumo!! - Very cool event, and the information given by the tour guide was nice to know right before the show. And also gave us a couple points of info during the event, favorite wrestlers and how to follow the matches.

Sumo was exellent but the whole experience was not value for money - The practice was fascinating. However, our party came part way through a practice which I thought strange given the amount of money we paid for the experience. The other group I saw had a sheet with an explanation of what they were seeing which we did not. I didn’t feel we got value for money.
