Not the kind of climbing you’d expect but still very fun! - In my mind, I thought “tree climbing” would be more like physically climbing on the tree itself….this was not quite that, but still just as fun! If you are familiar with rock climbing, this is more like “ascending” up the tree on the rope itself. Though not what I was expecting, I had a great time and learned a new skill! It’s challenging enough to get your heart rate up, but the views, guides, and overall vibes are unbeatable. Would recommend doing with family or even as a work event.

Unique experience, beautiful setting and worth the trek - What a wonderful experience and rare opportunity. My daughter loved the climbing and felt very safe the entire time. There was a LONG introduction on the practice tree which meant she was climbing the taller tree partially in the dark. She was with a family who had teen kids with physical developmental differences and we all loved that they had adaptive equipment to make it possible for everyone to climb.

Do the overnight camping!!! - I wish I could rate this 6 stars! Where do I even start- wow wow wow is the way to sum up my experience. I had the most amazing guides who helped me through my hardest moments- even teaching me new ways to calm myself down through fear. I slept on a portaledge which was already set up for me- so many extra details made it even more magical (hot meals, drone video, sleeping pad/bag, not having to carry loads of gear, etc etc). I was able to just focus on the majestic scenery and out of this world feeling that is sleeping on top of an old growth forest. I couldn’t have asked for more professional people who were also friendly, encouraging, VERY safety oriented, & knowledgeable. Huge thanks goes to the owner Leo who accommodated my last minute reservation during a very busy week. I could go on and on and on but I’ll just say this- sign up for this experience/splurge for the overnight camping/consider the battery ascender if you’re not strong enough to do the physical climb… add this activity with this company to your ‘must do’ bucket list!!

Unique and memorable experience - 10/10 - Amazing experience! I was a little hesitant as I am not too keen on heights, but our instructor Leo was so knowledgeable, patient and kind that made me comfortable and confident enough to make it up ~200ft to the top! Truly a unique experience that I won't forget. Thank you Leo and Tree Climbing at Silver Falls for the fond memory.

If I can do it, you can do it! - Tree climbing at Silver Falls is a must do experience if you’re looking for a fun adventure. There’s nothing like climbing up a Douglas Fir, the state tree of Oregon. As someone who loves trees this was truly an amazing and special experience. Our instructor Leo was very friendly and welcoming, he made me feel comfortable when I had no idea what I was doing. No experience was necessary, Leo taught us how to use all our gear and was very helpful every step of the way. Highly recommend!

Amazing Outdoor Adventure! - Wow, what an amazing experience! This is truly such a memorable adventure, and my partner and I feel very lucky to have spent our Saturday up in the trees of Silver Falls State Park! Leo is an awesome guide, and works hard to make sure everyone at any level and/or experience with climbing feels safe, confident, and capable climbing the majestic old-growth trees! Additionally, you are given the space, time, and encouragement to climb at your own pace, whether you want to bolt up the tree or need a little bit longer to take in the view/work up the courage. :) Positive, supportive, and so unique, I highly recommend this experience.

Bird’s Eye View - I never pass up a brochure stand in a hotel lobby, which is how we found this hidden gem of an activity two days before we arrived in Salem. We gift our children with experiences for their birthdays and this seemed like just the ticket for my soon to be 20 year old. Megan was an excellent teacher as she demonstrated all of the gear before having us practice the gear on the ground and then on the tree. Having us give her directions to go up and down was a great way to make us do the thinking. We got a workout as we learned to squat and pull up while attached to a rope to make our way to the top of the practice tree and then sit back as we made our descent. Now it was time for the real deal. After a short walk in our gear, we made our way to the tree that would have us 230 feet in the air to enjoy the gorgeous views around us. We were not rushed in any way and able to take breaks as needed. The view from the top was fantastic! I’m glad we discovered such a memorable adventure.

Just Do It! Amazing Experience / Location / People! - Whether this has even made it on to your bucket list, this is a must-do experience and these are the people to do it with! Safety is paramount to these guys, so no worries there. Tim and Laszlo were our guides and you won't find better people on this planet. They were kind, patient, friendly, funny, safety conscious, encouraging, and just all around stellar human beings. You will be challenged. You will be tired afterwards. But, you will never regret this experience with this company. Their love of the trees is obvious in everything they say and do. Hands down, best thing ever!

Go! Don't hesitate! Absolutely worth it! - Wow!!! This experience was amazing! We booked the morning climb. Our guides, Tim and Laszlo, knocked it out of the park! We are a group of three--one is 17 years(and a competitive rock climber); the others are 50+ and in moderately good shape. Our guides customized our climb to suit our physical abilities and our level of nervousness. Tim and Laszlo gave great tips on climbing technique to make the experience fun for all of us. Safety is their top priority. They were also knowledgable about the flora/fauna of the area. I highly recommend the photo package as well. Thanks for the awesome morning!

I made it about 2/3 the way up - This was a unique experience and I'm glad I did it. Megan was a great instructor and very patient with our learning curve and slowness getting up the tree! It required a little more strength an coordination than I expected, but don't quit! The climbing tree seemed easier than the practice tree. This is a beautiful park and I wish I could have stayed longer to hike to see a bunch of waterfalls. FYI google maps doesn't work inside the park!!
