A Great Vacation Experience - Make sure you are hungry when you do this tour. This is a true farm to table experience. Ante, our guide and host and winemaker picked us up in the morning and brought us to the Kravica waterfall. Then we went to his home where we met his mother and sampled her home made spectacular homemade bread, sweets, fruit, prosciutto, turkish coffee and more . Then we went out to tour Mostar where Ante guided us through the bazaar and to the famous bridge. Then it was back for the main course. Ante's mom served us peka. This is a traditional dish of slow cooked meat & potatos and spices (at restaurants you have to order this at least 24 hrs in advance). There was a homemade cheesecake, Ante's homemade wine flowed freely and we sampled his liquors as well. It was an unforgettable experience

Amazing Day out!!! - We had an amazing experience traveling from Split to Dubrovnik.
Vibor was our host for the day and he was so much fun and an excellent guide as we traveled.
Picked up from our hotel in Split we ventured into Bosnia and Herzegovina and stopped at Ante's mothers house for breakfast. She was busily preparing lunch for us for later on that day although breakfast was already so filling.
After breakfast we headed to see Stari Most which is the famed bridge in Mostar which was awesome.
After Mostar we headed back to Ante's mothers house for lunch where we ran into Ante as well who was an awesome guy always making sure we were comfortable and had plenty of food. Lunch was superb the finest home style cooking you'll get with the freshest meat and vegetables on offer.
After lunch we enjoyed a peaceful river cruise on Ante's boat which was so calming.
We next headed to Ston where the locals farmed oysters which we couldn't get enough of, they were delicious!!
We were finally taken to our hotel in Dubrovnik, This was the best way to travel from Split to Dubrovnik, seeing so much on the way.
Thank you to our driver Vibor (such a great guy) and to Ante's Private tours service for looking after us so well.

Something different - Something amazing! - I could not say enough wonderful things about this tour. I had a group of 11, and was trying to find a way to get from Split to Dubrovnik, when I came accross this tour. What a great way to get from A to B and have one of the best experiences of our time in Croatia.
Ante (and his wonderful tour guide whose name escapes me - sorry!) picked our group up from our accommodation in Split, and from there began a perfect day. Getting to see the country side of Croatia and Ante's home village of Hardomilje, was wonderful. The country side was beautiful, and Ante's commentary was fun and educational.
Arriving at Ante's home was an unexpected treat. We met his mother who was working very hard over the meal she was preparing for us, preparing incredible bread, and serving a "snack" which could have easily passed for the main meal if we hadn't known any better. After our snack, we toured Ante's village which included a beautiful boat trip enjoyed while drinking Ante's incredible home made wine.
We then headed back for lunch, which was amazing. It was a lot of food made from local produce, accompanied with that spectactular wine again. Just when we didn't think we could eat another bite, Ante's mum had our mouth watering again with the most incredible cheesecake. I couldn't get enough of it (and I don't even care for cheesecake!).
After lunch we all headed to our accommodation in Dubrovnik, in a blissful state of food coma. He dropped us at the door to our villa (which was not easy considering the road leading to the villa!) and thus ended one of the most perfect days of our trip to Croatia.
I could not recommend this tour enough. It is the perfect example of the beauty and hospitality of Croatia. We have a group of family and friends from two different continents that like to get together in a different country every couple of years. Not only was Croatia our favorite destination so far, but our day with Ante and his family was one of our favorite days from all of our trips. Thank you Ante for giving us such wonderful memories!!

Amazing Day for Soaking Up Local Culture - This is an amazing opportunity to get into the countryside and really be part of daily life--an experience free of vendors and souvenir stands, it's a way to enjoy the fresh local foods and get to know people one-to-one. Do not miss the pomegranate brandy!

An amazing day out!!!! - I have to say this was one of the best day tours we have taken in Croatia! Ante picked us up from our hotel in Split and took us to visit the world famous Stari Most bridge in Mostar and then to his Mums for lunch. There were many surprises during the day starting with a wonderful morning tea of Turkish coffee and homemade cheesecake at his home on the way to Mostar! Best cheesecake we have ever eaten!
Ante was very informative throughout the day, filling us in on local history (he grew up in this area) and also all about his culture and family history. After our visit to the bridge and to the shopping bazaar (where Ante was able to tell us which stalls were selling authentic local items), it was off to his family home for the most amazing lunch!
I cannot tell you how good it was - so much food and home made wine - all of which was delicious and prepared with only organic, locally grown and raised produce. Superb! We were treated to home made red and white wines, grappa and brandies. The day was completed with a visit to his grandfathers home and a very special boat trip.
Thank you Ante, the day spent with you was one of our special memories from our holiday!!

Amazing Authentic Experience - A MUST Do - highlight of our 12 day trip - We spend the better part of two days with Ante and had the most incredible experience. He picked us up in Split and our first stop was at his family's farm in a village in Herzogovina. We met his Mom and watched her put the bread we would eat later into the brick oven. Then we travelled to Medjugorje and Mostar, stopping at a restored Greek Orthodox monastery along the way (it was destroyed in the war with Serbia). All wonderful but our day only got better. Back to the farm to eat the most delicious food we've ever tasted. All sourced in the village (most of it right from his farm) and cooked by Ante's Mom, Senka. After the meal, we toured the village and had a wonderful sunset boat ride on the river. We stayed overnight at the farm (DEFINITELY stay overnight) and had an amazing breakfast the next morning before attending mass at the village church. The food was amazing but the company was truly exceptional. Ante is a special person - book a tour with him today!

One of a kind Croatian Experience in Herzegovina - Farm to table dining experience. Did not fully understand what we were getting into when it was suggested that we make this stop on our drive from Split to Dubrovnik. We arrived at the house with a quick introduction to Ante Rupcic, a gregarious fun giant. He introduced us to appetizers that were incredible and definitely enough for a nice meal (included grappa, wine and cherry liquor - all home made) Then we went for a tour of the farm, their seedling growing operation and finally a tour of the families historical homes dating back to the 1900's. Then we returned back to the charming dining room and the main portion of lunch. Tomatoes and cheese, Mixed Grilled meats, cabbage filled with mincemeat, assorted vegetables and more homemade wine. I can honestly say that I have never eaten so much at life in my life. Finally an incredibly tasty cherry cheesecake as good as any I have had in my life. Then Ante asked if we had time for another surprise which turned out to be a tour by electric boat of a small crystal clear river in his backyard. A great experience with a lovely family that won't be forgotten!!!
